This Rem Little sheep costume shoot in Guangzhou was one of my cozier recent projects. The plush fabric felt like an oversized warm pajama set—cozy, yet shooting in a kitchen with heat sources while wearing bulky fleece mittens made controlling poses and subtle expressions quite challenging. The wig's blue tone tended to shift under warm lighting, so both makeup prep and post-processing paid special attention to matching details like the pink contacts and hairpins for tonal harmony. The photos centered around everyday kitchen life, using ovens, refrigerators, cutting boards, and pastries as props to evoke a warm domestic vibe.
Poses were tailored specifically for the setting: handling piping bags required minding glove bulk, and seated counter angles were carefully checked. I selected the third photo as the cover because leaning over the table edge highlighted the plush texture while using a shallow depth of field to naturally frame leg lines and the pink-and-white thigh-highs. The subject sits right in the center, giving it stronger visual presence than the other shots. The kitchen studio space in Guangzhou was relatively compact, but soft natural light filtering through the window kept the scene crisp and luminous. Relying simply on basic reflectors rather than heavy equipment left plenty of flexibility for color grading, bringing out the subtle charm distinguishing this look from standard casual wear.
