Cosplaying Takanashi Hoshino this time, the most meticulous part was definitely styling the wig. To shape her signature ahoge on top, I applied styling wax at the roots in advance and inserted a thin wire inside, ensuring it stayed upright no matter how I moved. The layered trimming of the short Pink wig was also quite a test of the wig stylist's craftsmanship: the bangs couldn't be too heavy to avoid looking stiff, yet had to gently graze the brow bone to maintain that effortless, languid aura. For the makeup, to highlight Hoshino's soft, sweet cuteness, I swept a generous amount of pink blush across the cheeks, prepped the eye makeup with a soft light brown wash, and wore blue contact lenses to give the eyes extra clarity and translucence. The base makeup was kept matte and velvety to avoid looking puffy under harsh lighting. Since the character has a subtle heterochromatic feel in her eyes, I also adjusted the wearing effect of the lenses on-site, showcasing that lively spirit through varied angles and lighting.

As for the outfit, the white ruffle-trimmed short sleeves paired with a Chinese-style collar featured delicate blue patterns that color-coordinated with the blue flowers on the hat. The pink halo seen in the convention shots was handmade with acrylic sheets and supported by thin wire; to achieve a seamless floating illusion on camera, I spent quite a while adjusting angles in the booth. The bouquet of light blue hydrangeas cradled in my arms was an on-site prop, matching the fluffy white carpet to keep the overall frame clean and fresh. The fabric of the garment was lightweight, with semi-sheer flutter sleeves that draped into natural ripples whether walking or lying down, which was ideal for capturing this soft, gentle convention set.

Throughout the shoot, I continuously aimed for that freshly awakened, slightly drowsy yet obedient state. Since Hoshino naturally carries a laid-back, nonchalant demeanor, I deliberately avoided dramatic poses, choosing instead to lie on the blanket, casually tidying my hair or holding out the bouquet. In one photo where I slightly tilted my head toward the camera, I had just heard the photographer tell a funny story, and the candid shutter click caught a genuinely natural smile. In another pose, I closed my eyes and leaned softly against my arm, looking thoroughly tender under the ambient venue lights. Hand gestures were intentionally styled as well—lightly curling the fingers over the plush carpet or gently brushing hair strands aside—infusing the composition with everyday warmth rather than rigid staging.

The convention's lighting environment was actually quite complex with stray lights from surrounding booths, but thankfully the photographer brought fill-light equipment to prioritize facial illumination. In post-production, I specifically requested keeping that dreamy soft-focus effect to ensure the saturation of pink, blue, and white remained in a soothing range. The shoot went effortlessly because the outfit was light and easy to move around in, making interacting with props feel second nature. Hoshino brings a wonderfully soothing, relaxing presence, and I hope this photo set delivers that quiet, lovable emotion. I was very satisfied with both the hair/makeup and the shooting nuances this time, feeling that the plush, cozy texture was faithfully captured as a lovely keepsake of my convention trip. To complement the character's aura, I even did pink-toned nail art, aligning details down to the fingertips with the pink, blue, and white palette. The color logic of the whole set pairs a low-saturation background with vibrant subject tones, cultivating a delightful, dreamlike aesthetic.
