Before deciding to shoot this sailor uniform look, a lot of time was spent on preparing materials. The deep navy blue fabric was chosen for its structured quality. To keep the necktie draping naturally when the wind blows, an internal setting treatment was done. The white pleated skirt selected a highly breathable fabric, ensuring comfort during outdoor spring photoshoots while forming a great skirt hem curve when walking. The white soft hat on the head almost replicated the proportions from the original work; though it required fixing the hair strands during wear to prevent messiness, the actual shooting effect was a major plus.

Of course, the most core prop is this pink long-handled staff. To pursue a certain sense of weight and luster at the joints, the staff's skeleton has a built-in lightweight metal tube, and the bird-shaped carving at the top was also finely colored. The red gemstone part selected a resin material with good light transmission, which refracts highlights under the sunlight. For the final presentation of this kind of magical prop, the selection of materials directly determines the visual texture, and the luster ultimately presented in this photoshoot basically met the initial design expectations.

Regarding the choice of shooting venue, the theme of this photo set is 'Searching for the Shadow of Cherry Blossoms,' so we intentionally avoided the conventional cherry blossom viewing main roads with high foot traffic, and instead took shots along a cherry blossom forest on a mountainside. The most interesting part of this outdoor location was the process of sunlight filtering through the pink flower gaps and spilling onto the white skirt hem. The photographer combined natural light for backlit and side-backlit shots, trying to suppress the background highlights and keep environmental noise to a minimum, preserving the soft and delicate visual layers of the cherry blossoms.

Regarding the scheduling of movements and gazes, compared to posed shots of standing fixedly, I prefer finding a sense of interaction with the real scene. For instance, the composition of sitting on a wooden bench and reaching out forward aims to break the two-dimensional boundary of the frame, making viewers feel as if the character is stepping through the lens to converse with us. Pointing the staff forward utilizes a wide-angle perspective to strengthen the visual tension; although this requires a bit of liquefy processing on the subject's edges during post-processing, the overall effect is much more vivid than a stiff full-length standing pose.

In terms of expression management, I hoped to exude that pure, confident, yet slightly playful feel. Since the styling itself leans toward a youthful proportion, I didn't deliberately lower my voice or make overly mature micro-expressions, but instead projected a very refreshing, life-like, and authentic emotion. This happens to fit the bright, open atmosphere under the spring cherry blossoms during this Sakura Photograph session.

The entire shoot lasted about three hours. Even under the high sun, walking through the forest in a spring/autumn uniform during an outdoor spring photoshoot still felt a bit chilly, but seeing those gentle moments frozen in the final pictures turned all the exhaustion into a highly enjoyable process. Every time I put on these clothes and take up the props, it feels like a special return visit to childhood. Words might be hard to fully describe this subtle joy, but photos are indeed the best proof of this Anime cosplay journey.
