[Hyacinthia Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Chrysos Heirs, Awakening the Gentle and Healing Power

Let's first talk about the core part of the styling. To recreate that rounded look with fluffy hair buns for the pink wig, the stylist was incredibly meticulous when handling the flow of the hair strands, and the bangs were thinned out with an airy feel so it can present clear layers under the studio lights. The makeup focuses on a clear, translucent base paired with light blue colored contact lenses. Earth tones and light pink blending were chosen for the eyeshadow, mainly wishing to portray that doll-like delicate yet gentle gaze, rather than intentionally chasing an overly heavy stage look.

The texture of the costume is also a key point of restoration this time. The coat uses a large area of velvet fabric, and the red-and-white color scheme shows subtle gloss changes under soft light. The golden patterns on the coat collar, chest, and cuffs combine fine embroidery with gold stamping techniques, with details visible to the naked eye. Silver dark patterns were added to the white-base prints inside the skirt hem, and the petticoat's layering is extremely rich. In terms of accessories, the plush hanging ornaments at the waist and the light blue bow on the chest adjust the balance of the overall red-and-white color scheme. The most eye-catching white feather wings utilize a lightweight skeleton and feathers; though substantial in size, the weight on my shoulders when wearing them was much less than expected. However, before every shoot, they had to be smoothed down along the grain of the feathers to guarantee visual fluffiness.

The arrangement of the shooting location was also entirely at the service of the character's atmosphere. A large white plush carpet was spread across the real-scene studio, paired with semi-translucent pink-white tulle, a vintage carved white sofa, and golden frame props, complemented nearby by a white unicorn plush toy and a light blue birdcage, overall creating a fairy-tale-like dreamy style photography feel. The long blue staff in the scene is also an exclusive prop, whose texture fits the character setting well. For lighting, the photography team mainly used softboxes and reflected light, focusing on reducing the harsh edges of shadows to ensure the character's skin texture was delicate, while perfectly displaying the gold stamping textures and color contrasts on the costume.

During the actual shoot, the traits of the character Hyacinthia lean toward softness and healing. To capture this temperament, we experimented with several different posture expressions: a static pose of clasping hands in prayer or deep thought, a lively guided state of raising a hand to point into mid-air, and an expression of lowering my head slightly into contemplation. The action design paid special attention to bodily expansiveness to guarantee that even while wearing large wings and complex attire, the limb lines remained natural and smooth without looking stiff or bulky.

The post-processing after shooting mainly concentrated on controlling the environmental color tones, because the red-and-white color scheme and pink background can easily cause a color imbalance. It needed to be maintained in a gentle, cool tone that carries both divinity and approachability. Being able to restore these 2D designs through real sets and meticulous makeup and styling this time was truly a meaningful attempt. The final photos were able to present a texture that fits the character design, which also made me very satisfied with the overall arrangement's outcome.
