[Cyrene Cosplay] Pink & White Sports Field in Honkai: Star Rail

This look featuring a glitter-adorned pink wig paired with a badminton racket is my lively interpretation of Cyrene from Honkai: Star Rail. Though it's a set leaning toward an Anime sporty style, it still retains a strong, exclusive aura in its details.

Let's start with the wig and makeup pairing. To fit the theme of "memories" and a dreamy atmosphere, I specifically chose this pink wig decorated with tiny rhinestones and silver sequins. The curvature of the bangs and the layers of the hair ends all needed to be manually styled to achieve a fluffy yet neat effect. This hair color makes skin look especially fair under indoor lighting. Combined with pink eyeshadow and a soft lip color on the face, it neutralizes the starkness of bright pink, making the overall aura gentler. The purple eye makeup with contact lenses is the finishing touch—this cool tone creates a subtle color contrast with the overall warm scheme, giving the gaze depth and storytelling.

The outfit's design details are also very intricate. The top is a cropped white-and-pink color-blocked sports bra, with zipper decorations at the collar and hem, and a highly recognizable pattern in the middle. This midriff-baring design nicely enhances body proportions on camera, and when paired with a pink half-finger sleeve on the right arm, it makes badminton-playing movements look natural and sleek. The bottom is a white skirt with pink trim that echoes the top, unifying the overall color scheme. Against the dim indoor concrete floor background, the pink-and-white contrast serves as a great eye-catcher.

As for props, the badminton racket is not only a tool to highlight sporty attributes but also a great interactive prop. Holding the racket grip and adjusting hand posture and angles adds tension to the frame. During the shoot, I tried several different poses and expressions. The winking expression in the first photo adds a touch of playfulness, while the open-eyed gaze directly into the lens in the second photo is gentler and more intimate, making it a better visual centerpiece for the set. Taking shots from a top-down angle helps amplify facial features and top garment details while preventing the background from looking overly cluttered.

Throughout the shooting process, controlling the glitter reflections on the wig was an art in itself. Harsh light creates blown-out glares, while weak light fails to showcase hair strand layering. In the end, shooting under even, diffused light captured the twinkling specks of light in the hair, creating a dream-like opening atmosphere. The rough indoor concrete floor and blurred wooden chair legs enriched the visual depth, making the subject stand out even more. These are some of my real takeaways from this shoot for Honkai: Star Rail—cosplay is not just putting on a costume, but a personalized creation encompassing hair, makeup, and camera language.
