The focus of recreating this Honkai: Star Rail Robin look actually centers on the coordination of accessories with light and shadow. To match the gorgeous and psychedelic setting of Penacony, I chose a glossy dark blue bowtie and a white fluffy shawl for visual contrast. The golden floating halo on top of my head is the crowning touch of this look; during the shoot, simply aligning the light source with this spot easily creates a highlight pull in the frame, making the character look more ethereal and divine.

Before the shoot, I discussed with the photographer that the theme of the Penacony Sweet Dream shouldn't just be captured as gorgeous, but also needed a bit of depth from behind the stage. Therefore, we drew heavy red velvet curtains in the background and arranged a circle of warm-toned stage lightbulbs in front, creating a strong contrast between warm and cool tones. For props, I used a pure metallic stand retro microphone, transparent wine glasses, and the glowing purple-pink crystal ball in the last picture. Different props correspond to different scene settings: the microphone corresponds to her identity as a singer of galactic voice, the wine glass to the leisure in the lounge, and the crystal ball to the hidden little magic within that massive dreamscape.

There are actually quite a lot of details in this outfit, especially the blue pattern decals on the wrists, which look very layered under close-up shots when paired with fingerless gloves and pearl beads. During the shoot, the train of the fluffy shawl was very long, requiring constant adjustment to maintain its fluffiness. The blue-and-white two-tone wig also has thick bangs and sideburns, which put the cleanliness of the makeup to the test. Therefore, I applied a very thin base makeup, focusing instead on the blending of the eye makeup and a slight upturn of the corners of my mouth, hoping to convey a gentle yet detached sense of mild melancholy, echoing that feeling of stopping one heart from breaking.

Photos from different angles evoke different emotions. Full-body shots require an elegant and upright posture, holding the wine glass or microphone with composure; close-ups rely more on eye contact and subtle micro-expressions. During the shoot, the photographer cleverly used a ring light to gather all the light onto my face and the floating halo on my head, while letting the red curtain in the background darken, thereby highlighting the blue and white tones of my outfit. Rather than deliberately striking a flamboyant pose as a big stage superstar, I preferred to present a sense of tranquility, as if singing alone at midnight when awakening from a dream. During the session, we had to constantly adjust the placement of the footlights to ensure a natural transition of light and shadow across the white high heels and the skirt's hemline. The rim light in the final photos, which perfectly hit the edges of the white fluff, owed a great deal to the real-time lighting adjustments made on set.

Overall, the atmosphere of this photoshoot was very comfortable. It was wonderful to use concrete physical objects to recreate the character's form within the setting of the Penacony Sweet Dream. Combined with different props and camera angles, it showcases the emotional changes of the same character under various scene atmospheres. Whether standing in the center of the stage with a microphone, contemplating in a bar with a wine glass, or even holding a glowing crystal ball, each attempt makes the visual storytelling of this character much richer.
