[Cyrene Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Character Banner Ends, Looking Forward to the Next Pink Encounter - Image 2

Just because the character banner has ended doesn't mean my connection with this character has truly come to a close. Looking at these two convention photos, I still get a very subtle feeling in my heart. Time flew by so fast from when we shot these two pictures in the convention hall to our current banner farewell. But since I chose to cosplay her, that special emotion won't fade away just because the banner has closed.

Let's talk about the part of this pink hair cosplay that required the most effort—the pink wig. It took over an hour of trimming to give it that natural, fluffy, airy feel, and I adjusted the layers of the tips and the length of the bangs repeatedly. As for the white feather-like hair accessory on top, to keep it standing straight at a beautiful angle, I spent a long time securing it with hot glue and positioning clips to ensure it stayed firmly in place while running around at the venue. The single white highlight at the tips of the hair was the crowning touch; it kept the overall pink visual from looking too monotonous, and the gradient transition of the highlight really tested the smoothness of the strands.

The biggest challenge for the makeup this time was the presentation of the eyes. When wearing such bright blue contact lenses, if the eyeliner lines aren't sharp enough, the gaze can easily look vacant and unfocused. So this time, I opted for a slightly enlarged, full-rimmed eyeliner technique, particularly enhancing the density of both the upper and lower lashes. I chose long, curled false eyelashes paired with a subtle blending of the lower eyeshadow to fully highlight the crystal-clear blue of the pupils. For the lips, I specially selected a dewy, berry-toned shade, which kept a healthy flush of color while balancing the cool demeanor brought by the highly saturated blue eyes, making my overall face look softer and more approachable.

The details of the outfit and accessories are also parts I am very satisfied with in this shoot. The large golden buckle necklace with a vintage metallic texture on my chest reflected a beautiful halo under the spotlights of the convention hall. The white top's silhouette cut is smooth, looking clean and crisp with its off-the-shoulder design and stitching textures. The purple vest worn over it has an amazing fabric texture, showing a more matte and steady feel compared to smooth silk. Paired with the black thin straps on the arms, the combination of the entire color scheme—pink, white, purple, and gold—creates highly rich visual layering.

When we shot these two pictures, we were actually by a corridor in a crowded and noisy convention hall. However, the photographer was excellent at finding angles, utilizing a wide aperture to completely blur the background into a warm, yellow bokeh, making the character pop out from the chaotic backdrop instantly. The expression in the first picture is more focused, while the accidental candid capture in the second is much more lively, with my hand naturally placed on my collar, carrying a touch of playfulness. That's how photoshoots often go—once you do enough prep work, you can easily capture the desired state just by relaxing on-site.

To be honest, whenever I finish cosplaying a beloved character, there's always a subtle feeling in my heart, like finishing a deeply touching novel. But the end of this character banner also counts as completing a milestone 'check-in' for this character in my real life. As a cosplay enthusiast, I have always believed that cosplaying a character is not just about putting on the clothes, but also about capturing her expression and temperament. I look forward to reuniting with her in the game again next time, and if there's a chance then, I would love to take another few sets of photos in different styles with this level of accuracy. I'll record this pink journey here for now—there are still many wonderful new stories to look forward to in the future.
