[Cyrene Cosplay] Sharing Recreation Details of Round Sleeve Styling for Honkai: Star Rail

Regarding the rounded cuffs of this Cyrene outfit, inserting soft craft wire takes just a matter of minutes. The mass-produced versions currently available from the two main vendors on the market have very flat sleeves that completely fail to hold the intended voluminous shape when worn. In reality, just by embedding a soft craft wire inside the cuff seams, you can mold it into an exceptionally round, plump shape and easily tweak it to your desired curvature at will. This creates an adorable look that stays very faithful to the original design. Although the concealed wire can occasionally poke the wrist, I highly recommend trying this hardcore Cosplay costumes, makeup, and props technique for the sake of a flawless visual presentation.

Beyond the sleeves, the other accessories of this costume also test one's patience. The blue outer robe is made of a stiffer material that resists wrinkling; paired with the white inner top and short skirt, you need to watch the alignment of the black runic ribbons when dressing, otherwise they easily get tangled in the waist's gold ornaments. The shoes are lace-up sandals that took about half an hour to strap up properly, but they nicely showcase the ankle lines during shooting. The wig's bangs and long sideburns were trimmed again. I only wore blue contact lenses without overly heavy eye makeup to keep the overall palette soft and dreamy.

For this shoot, we picked a venue with floor-to-ceiling windows where light came straight across and the background was quite translucent, perfectly complementing the cool tones of the pink hair and blue-and-white outfit. I spent a long time crouching to find the right angle, only to discover that sitting directly on the gray floor tiles for full-body shots looked best—the legs stretched out naturally, while the skirt pleats and waist star buckle were showcased beautifully. We also captured several half-body shots primarily to highlight the runes and chest pendant, but overall, the set sitting in the corner had the best ambiance.

Throughout the whole Event photo sharing shoot, the most time-consuming part was managing the placement of the cuffs and streamers, especially smoothing out those black ribbons by hand to reveal the golden runes on them. The resulting color tones leaned toward a clean, cool brightness, which I am quite satisfied with. The final pose of sitting and looking toward the camera also presented the costume design wonderfully; paired with wide cuffs and the white skirt, the visual weight was very balanced. A lot of care went into the details of this Honkai: Star Rail Cyrene Cosplay, making it a very fulfilling record.
