[Mash cosplay] Fate/Grand Order: Valentine's Craft Essence Cosplay Photography Sharing

For this photoshoot, I chose Mash cosplay's Valentine's Craft Essence from Fate/Grand Order, mainly aiming to present a soft pink and ceremonial atmosphere. The costume is a two-piece design: the upper half mainly features black and white stripes combined with black chest straps, generously accented with pink ruffles. The neckline features a white collar with a red tie, matched with white detachable sleeves, while the lower half is a pink-and-black pleated skirt with a large white apron. To complement the overall look, I specifically paired it with white stockings and black Mary Jane shoes, topped off with a small black top hat. The pink glasses and contacts beautifully highlight Mash's character traits, and the silver-white wig was styled according to the original design.

The indoor studio was decorated with plenty of soft and cute props, such as a huge teddy bear, heart-shaped cushions, and pink heart gift boxes. Shot with soft lighting against a pink-and-white striped backdrop, the overall tone was warm and bright, perfectly fitting the sweet Valentine's theme. During the shoot, I tried a kneeling pose on the plush rug, which nicely spread out the skirt and highlighted the beauty of the white stockings. When sitting on the white carved chair, poses were designed to create a sense of interaction—such as reaching a hand out toward the lens or resting my chin on one hand to bring the viewer closer.

The preparation before the Photography session was rather intricate, especially adjusting the ribbons and lace on this outfit, as well as finding the center of gravity for the mini hat on the wig to keep it securely in place. When shooting full-body photos, to best showcase leg lines, I constantly had to pay attention to pointing my toes and keeping the stocking bands smooth. My state was great on the day of the shoot; guided by the photographer, I did my best through eye contact and hand gestures to recreate the sweetness and agility of the Valentine's Craft Essence. Post-processing preserved the dreamy, high-key soft-light texture of the raw images, making the skin appear more translucent and the pink tones softer without feeling overwhelming. I hope the Photography experience gained from this shoot will be helpful for cosplaying other characters in the future.
