[Hsin cosplay] The Little Fox of Wuthering Waves: Stealing the Jade Rabbit's Ears Today

This Wuthering Waves Hsin cosplay costume had been hanging in my wardrobe for a while, and today I finally had the chance to shoot it. The overarching concept for this shoot was 'the little fox steals the Jade Rabbit's ears,' so you can see an expansive pair of plush white beast ears atop my head, adorned along the sides with gilded coral branch hair accessories. The wig featured a white base with dark charcoal-gray gradient ombré tips; the blunt fringe bangs contoured the face nicely while capturing her spirited, cunningly playful disposition.

To channel fox-like eyes in makeup, I wore crimson contact lenses, sweeping deep reddish eyeshadow across the ocular contours alongside delicate crimson markings, accessorized with a slender gold chain bearing a ruby pendant around the throat. The garment features extensive multi-layered tailoring: the upper body incorporates a black bustier spliced with red and white fabrics, plush white fur puffs perched on the shoulders, and voluminous flowing furisode sleeves alternating between a red base and translucent white gauze stamped with silver astral constellations. Below, black shorts were layered beneath a floor-length blue-gray ripple-water patterned sheer skirt. To elongate vertical lines, I paired the look with sheer nude pantyhose Stockings and transparent block-heeled sandals to seamlessly extend leg length.

The set was staged inside an indoor studio built around a bamboo low daybed and a polished wooden table. A half-opened red oil-paper umbrella rested nearby, while background bamboo stalks and scarlet maple leaves harmonized chromatically with the red-and-white wardrobe palette. Complemented by sheer calligraphy tapestries, the space radiated the tranquil charm of a traditional courtyard garden. During shooting, I explored varied poses to capture the fox's multifaceted persona. Sitting cross-legged on the bamboo daybed required keeping the spine upright to flatter the high-slit skirt, showcasing the leg curvature and Stockings texture, while resting a chin on one palm with a languid, teasing glance. Leaning forward against the wooden tabletop framed the intricate bodice details and fluid sleeve drape, demanding disciplined facial composure with the gaze angled slightly below the lens to foster intimate dialogue.

Regarding the concept: while Hsin has her own established canonical lore in Wuthering Waves, borrowing the playful motif of stealing the Jade Rabbit's ears was purely meant to infuse her with a cheeky, mischievous everyday slice-of-life charm—my apologies in advance for any OOC liberties taken. The photoshoot centered on color harmony and physical tension. The vivid red umbrella and scarlet leaves are commanding visual anchors, so choreography was tailored to avoid occlusions, letting agile body language break through the heaviness of the set pieces. The essence of this coordinate lies in capturing a vulpine air of weightless grace and elusive allure. Through hosiery, clear heels, and off-the-shoulder draping, I hope this project delivers a compelling visual tribute while honoring her core aesthetic.
