[Phrolova cosplay] This dream of the afterlife in Wuthering Waves will ultimately never wake up again

This time at the CPG08 convention, I cosplayed Phrolova from Wuthering Waves. To restore the character, the wig was chosen in a grayish mint green texture, the blunt bangs were neatly trimmed, and long braids were woven on the sides, tied with black ribbon bows. The clothing is an off-the-shoulder white dress, and the layered trumpet sleeves and skirt hem feel substantial when walking. To balance the proportion of the long dress, I paired it with black platform Mary Jane shoes, which can elongate the leg lines and won't be too tiring when standing in the venue all day long. The black long leather gloves on the hands are the soul of this styling, forming a strong black-and-white contrast with the white skirt, providing a strong visual impact.

In terms of makeup and styling, the eye makeup used reddish tones to deepen the contours, paired with light-colored contact lenses, mainly to highlight the character's cold yet slightly melancholic gaze. The prop is a dark red wooden violin. At the convention site, constrained by the venue and lighting, to capture the lightweight texture of the white dress, the photographer and I found quite a few angles near the escalator and glass railing. Utilizing the spotlight at the top of the venue and the glass reflection, we could cast very transparent rim light, making the mint green wig look more layered. Under the alternation of cool and warm light sources, I occasionally needed to fine-tune my standing position to ensure the flatness of the facial light and shadow.

Shooting dynamic photos is the most demanding task. Throwing the skirt hem requires simultaneous force from the waist and arms, and finding the right timing to leave a stretched fan shape in front of the lens. The action of playing the violin looks elegant, but it actually tests core strength a lot—keeping the back upright and holding the bow steadily. Although I often had to stop and reorganize because the skirt hem was stepped on, the moment of cooperating with the photographer to throw the skirt hem was extremely exhilarating. Every time a group was finished, I had to reorganize the wig and skirt hem to prevent frizz and wrinkles. This time I specially sprayed anti-frizz care liquid on the wig, and the effect was quite good; the hair strands remained smooth throughout the day.

Many friends at the convention recognized me as Phrolova, came over to say hello and take photos, and everyone called me "Funuonuo", which felt very warm and friendly. Walking in crowded places in this outfit requires extra care, as the long skirt hem is easily stepped on, so I am used to lifting the hem slightly. Walking in the venue wearing platform shoes all day made my feet really sore, but seeing these final photos, I feel all the hardships were worth it. In this bustling convention, through clothing and props, I briefly touched that sense of loneliness and persistence belonging to her. This dream of the afterlife will ultimately never wake up again.
