Today's stage performance outfit went through roughly three sample fittings from initial prototyping to final sign-off. The overarching design centers on a white Plush cat ears concept. Because this is an Underground idol performance, the venue is typically in intimate proximity to the audience without elevated hydraulic stages or distant vantage points, meaning every single detail of the costume is scrutinized up close. The plush hood is the very soul of the piece; the soft pink inner lining of the cat ears adds visual depth to the all-white ensemble while fitting the head circumference snugly, ensuring it never obstructs my vision during sharp head turns. The top is a cropped plush vest anchored by a white satin bow as the visual centerpiece, with two fuzzy pom-poms dangling below that bounce along with my dance moves. The exposed midriff design allows effortless articulation for core-intensive dance choreography.

The plush shorts on the lower half feature soft lace trims along the edges and functional drawstrings tied into bows with pom-poms on the ends. The most time-consuming part was the leg styling: sheer White over-the-knee socks couldn't simply be pulled on casually. To prevent them from sliding down during extended singing and dancing, I secured them to the inner thighs with anti-slip silicone tape before winding around straps accented with cross pendants and fur balls. I had to ensure the straps wouldn't dig uncomfortably into the skin while remaining secure enough not to unravel during intense movement. For footwear, I opted for white plush boots echoing the upper fabric textures, though their chunky platform design required extra caution during stage blocking to avoid tripping on the shorts.

While on stage, the most noticeable restriction came from the plush arm warmers. The material is very voluminous, which slightly obstructed my sightline during fast arm raises or pointing gestures toward the camera. Therefore, I had to extend my arms straighter and exaggerate my movements by about 20% compared to rehearsals so everything looked crisp and clean in the audience's field of view. The stage of an Underground idol carries a unique magnetic aura; because the distance is so close, performers can clearly hear the cheering calls of each fan, a feedback loop that instantly sends adrenaline surging.

Under the blazing stage lights, pure white plush fabric is prone to blowing out on camera, so during movement, I had to slightly lower my center of gravity and adapt my expressions to the shifting play of light and shadow. To complement this cat ear look, I deliberately deepened the blush and added subtle glitter to the eye makeup to make my gaze pop with radiance under strong lighting. During rehearsals, we dedicated immense time to stage positioning and blocking marks; because the outfit contains so many white elements, any perceived bulkiness would detract from the overall lightweight, airy stage presence. Calibrating breathing and movement rhythm to make every frozen frame burst with energy was my greatest takeaway from this performance.

Stepping off stage after the show, the plush fabric's lack of breathability left me drenched in sweat, yet successfully delivering this song and leaving my best condition before every lens felt deeply rewarding. Next, I still need to make minor adjustments to certain choreographic moves for this costume—especially squats and floorwork—to ensure the garment's stretch keeps pace with physical exertion, striving for even greater ease and fluidity in the next show.
