Staging this official photoshoot for Yu Linglong's Unrestrained Spring skin from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT brought us to an outdoor grove overflowing with blooming Thunberg spirea. The moment I scouted this floral sea, it felt destined for this styling—the white-to-purple ombre wig echoed the clustered white buds of the Thunberg spirea in flawless harmony. Though gusting winds demanded constant adjustments to the fluttering gossamer fabrics and tresses, the dappled sunbeams piercing through the boughs cast luminous dapple patterns across my silhouette, elevating the imagery with ethereal transcendence.

Regarding the styling, Yu Linglong's Unrestrained Spring attire is densely layered with intricate accents: translucent silk gauze, gilded chains encircling the waist, and spiraling ribbons wrapping the forearms. Preserving the airy weightlessness of this garment required meticulous steaming and pinning prior to shooting. The plush fox ears underwent continuous angle repositioning to balance facial symmetry between profile and frontal views. For cosmetics, aligning with the pale lilac-and-white motif meant selecting cool-toned mauves across the eyeshadow and lips, anchored by a translucent, dew-fresh foundation to prevent cakey heaviness under direct sunlight.

During shooting, the spirea blossoms served primarily as foreground framing, utilizing a shallow depth of field to generate painterly bokeh and rich spatial tiers. Because the branches hung low, preventing visual clutter meant tucking my body deeper into the floral thickets, guiding the viewer's eye through elevated arm gestures and subtle finger touches. In the frontal shot with an elevated arm, the harsh afternoon sun caused me to squint involuntarily, yet the photographer seized that split-second capture, producing an introspective, contemplative mood beneath the flowering boughs. The side-profile frames focused on meditative stillness—closing the eyes or gazing into the blooms to instill serene calm.

The shoot was physically taxing, requiring sustained arm raises and torso twists while remaining vigilant against thorny twigs snagging the sheer skirt. Outdoor location work is deeply at the mercy of the elements; fortunately, optimal sun angles allowed us to explore varied compositions that eliminated background clutter while letting sunlight illuminate the sheer chiffon. Post-processing relied on restrained adjustments—lightly calibrating color temperature and contrast to honor organic chiaroscuro.
