[Yin Ziping cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Firefly ACG Expo Convention Photos: Come Spar with Ping'er

If you come to spar with Ping'er, you might truly end up flat on the ground! The NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Convention photos from Firefly ACG Expo are finally curated. Portraying Yin Ziping this time involved tremendous effort from the initial costume prep to the finalized shots.

Let's start with the wardrobe details. The foundation is a modified white dress incorporating a traditional Chinese mandarin collar and black frog fasteners, complemented by dramatic ruffled flutter sleeves at the shoulders and grey floral embroidery spanning the bodice and hem. To honor the character's canonical proportions, cloud-shaped cutouts were tailored into the waist flanks; this feature demanded precise camera angles, so I secured the edges with double-sided fashion tape to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions. The lower half features a pleated white skirt hem layered over sheer White over-the-knee socks and white Mary Jane heels. For the wig, I went with silvery-white twin tails; however, the stock accessories felt lacking in detail, so I hand-crafted custom hairpieces using white lace, black satin ribbons, and faux pearls. The lateral black bow ornaments were also pinned independently to keep them firmly anchored during dynamic sword swings.

The shooting spot was set along a street adjacent to S3 Gate, framed by grey concrete architecture, glass curtain walls, white zebra crossings, and yellow speed bumps on the asphalt. This juxtaposition of raw modern streetwear and classical fantasy attire created an arresting visual punch. Sunlight was intense that afternoon; direct rays rendered the lace parasol and White over-the-knee socks with luminous translucency, though keeping my eyes wide open against the glare proved challenging. My main props were a white-scabbarded straight sword and a lace parasol. While holding the blade, I continually adjusted my wrist angle to maintain a crisp, upright blade line, embodying Ping'er's benevolent healer persona intertwined with unyielding martial resolve. Standing poses required engaging the core to showcase long leg lines through the white stockings and canted compositions. For the third setup seated on the tarmac holding the parasol, the scorching pavement and slick hosiery demanded strong core balance, requiring numerous shutter clicks before capturing that effortless, languid gaze.

Convention days can be brutally hot. Spending hours outdoors in layered attire and snug White over-the-knee socks proved physically exhausting. Breaks were spent continually refreshing makeup, as the red-brown circle lenses and diffused crimson eyeshadow easily smudged from perspiration. To maintain the twin tails, internal teasing and hidden bobby pins were set along the crown beforehand to prevent the wig from deflating flat against the scalp. In post-processing, I deliberately preserved natural outdoor chiaroscuro without heavy artificial filters, letting the authentic textures speak for themselves.

Every cosplay outing is a unique creative venture. From analyzing pattern cuts and prop materials to internalizing character mannerisms, the arduous process yields immense fulfillment the moment the photos capture the intended vision.
