[Cyrene Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Stone Wall Shoot Featuring the Omphalos Chrysos Heir Look

Shooting this set took place in the afternoon under direct sunlight, but fortunately, a textured stone wall in the venue served as a perfect backdrop. The dappled light cast by the tree canopy overhead and the raw stone texture harmonized seamlessly with the outfit's color palette, saving the hassle of extra lighting setups.

Regarding overall character recreation, wig and makeup processing served as the foundation. I styled the short pink wig for fluffiness, guiding the front bangs' direction so it wouldn't look rigid. The position of the white curved hair ornament on top was fine-tuned several times to establish ideal visual proportions with the hairstyle and face shape. For eye makeup, I paired it with blue contacts without using heavy eyeshadow to steal the spotlight, maintaining a clean and refreshing makeup feel.

The outfit structure is actually far more intricate than it first appears. The coat features a purple-and-white off-the-shoulder design with wide flare sleeves; the inner purple-pink patchwork lining reveals itself naturally when raising my arms, offering rich layering. The golden circular emblem at the collar and the pink beaded necklace serve as great accents, ensuring the neckline and shoulders don't feel bare. The most labor-intensive element while dressing was the set of black leather belts adorned with gold runic prints across the chest. To ensure they draped naturally, I adjusted buckle positions, with the runic prints echoing the character's temperament. The lower half features a white short skirt with subtle faint patterns on the hem, connected at the waist with metallic bronze components, making the transition between top and bottom elements exceptionally smooth.

For footwear, I selected white Roman lace-up high-heeled sandals accented with straps and metal buckles. This style proved extremely practical for walking across outdoor stone slabs without worrying about slipping during the shoot. Furthermore, the lace-up design beautifully elongated and refined leg lines, grounding the visual center of gravity securely for full-body framing.

The white crescent staff prop held in hand possesses substantial weight in reality; its white lacquer surface created a soft glossy sheen under sunny outdoor reflections. To hold it steady on camera, my wrist and arm had to remain slightly tensed, as it was easy for the staff to tilt or for my arm to look fatigued. The photographer reminded me about hand gestures—such as avoiding gripping too low to refrain from obscuring wrist joints—so after multiple poses, we settled on a single-handed raised, naturally extended posture.

Among this set of photos, I ultimately selected the second image as the cover, mainly because its full-body posture and composition feel relatively complete. In this standing pose, the body tilts slightly, highlighting the crescent staff's orientation while leaving natural drape and stretch space for the wide flowing sleeves. Light and shadow fall squarely on the side of the figure, avoiding harsh facial shadows and keeping facial illumination even to preserve makeup integrity. My expression refrains from forced smiles, instead staying true to the styling with a serene, focused look.

Overall, taking this outfit and staff outdoors for a location shoot over the weekend went smoothly. Although tree shadows caused by overhead sunlight required continuous positioning adjustments during framing, the resulting texture offers an entirely distinct atmosphere compared to indoor studio shoots. The outdoor environment beautifully heightened this mysterious, retro aura while harmonizing seamlessly with the costume's colors and accessory details. Looking back at the raw unedited photos afterwards, all the prep time spent dressing and organizing props felt thoroughly worthwhile.
