[Sandrone Marionette cosplay] The elegance of the Fatui is hidden in an afternoon café

Welcome to the Fatui! However, I'm not here to talk about official business today, but to share with everyone this latest set of Cosplay photography photos I shot. As Sandrone Marionette, it's actually not easy to express that feeling of coexisting machinery and elegance, but after completion, I am still very satisfied with the overall effect this time. To maximize this sense of elegance, I specially chose an indoor shooting venue with a strong European vintage atmosphere.

The overall costume this time utilizes a large amount of blue and white color-blocking, paired with a classic maid headband and a black bow, making it visually sharp like the Fatui yet full of magnificence. Golden long hair and blue colored contact lenses are the character's signature traits; I specially styled the subtle curl at the ends of the hair to make it look more natural with the color of the wig. The off-the-shoulder design of the top, the deep red piping, and the metallic-textured decorations at the waist are all very exquisite parts, and these local textures show up very well under the lens.

The skirt hem of the lower body is very rich in layers, and both the outer ruffles and the dark patterns on the skirt hem increase the weight of the overall silhouette. White stockings paired with a golden double-stripe design on the front, plus those high heels with dark red straps and thick golden soles, play a great extension effect visually.

Actually, before preparing for this shoot, I repeatedly pondered several traits of the character. She carries that non-human mechanical beauty, but at the same time, she is extremely aggressive. To reflect this contrast, I deliberately kept my expression management relatively peaceful and cold, avoiding overly flamboyant body movements. Coupled with the visual impact brought by the headpiece and blue eyes, the overall setup creates an unfathomable feeling. In addition, I really like that close-up shot that uses white fabric to cover half of my face; it makes me in front of the lens carry a bit of mysterious dramatic tension.

In this shoot, I tried several different scenes and postures. For example, on the black iron-crafted staircase, the photographer captured moments of me resting on the steps or leaning against the railing from various perspectives like high-angle and low-angle shots. Especially that full-shot sitting on a high stool, with European plaster sculptures and a wheat-field style oil painting as the background—this kind of scene with an artistic vibe instead amplified the character's cold detachment.

In terms of light utilization, we were quite restrained, trying to use soft ambient light as much as possible to avoid harsh shadows on the face, which keeps the facial features clean and flat. The large sleeve design of the props was used by me during the shoot as a prop to partially block the face or modify hand movements, which added to the layering of the frame.

Actually, shooting while wearing high heels going up a staircase heavily tests balance, and with such wide sleeves and a skirt hem, slightly larger movements easily lead to an unstable center of gravity. But these minor episodes eventually turned into those static elegances in the photos, making it very worth it. Paired with this slightly detached and cool expression, the elusive temperament of Sandrone Marionette should be restored relatively well in place.
