The color scheme of purple frost and white attire was decided during the early brainstorming phase to emphasize this cool and beautiful texture. The material of this outfit selects a large area of light yarn and satin patchwork, with a white primary tone paired with a light purple gradient and deep blue line borders. The off-the-shoulder pattern design happens to showcase the collarbone and shoulder-neck lines, and the draping effect of the hem forms highly natural folds during movements, which places rather high demands on fabric details and tailoring.

During the shoot, a Chinese wooden chair and paper lanterns were intentionally set up in the studio. The warm yellow light from the softbox, paired with the glowing blue full moon scenery in the background, formed a very comfortable warm-and-cool contrast in the frame. A white crane sculpture and bamboo were also placed, completely maxing out that traditional style cosplay atmosphere with a touch of ethereal elegance and tranquility. That long sword was a heavily weighted piece among the props; the luster of the blade surface paired with the red sword hilt tassel added a visual contrast of light and heavy when standing while holding the sword, giving the entire composition more tension.

The shooting process actually heavily tested expression management because, for this kind of Xianxia cosplay and ethereal character, the demeanor cannot be too concrete; it needs a bit of laziness and aloofness, yet without appearing too rigid. My sitting posture on the chair was mainly to extend my limbs as much as possible; the two leg-crossing movements, coordinated with the silver bell anklet and thigh ring on my ankles, precisely enhanced visual lightness and exquisite texture in the details. In that set of water mist scenery photos, the dry ice made the water vapor on the ground diffuse, beautifully complementing the elegance and gentleness of the skirt hem, and the action of bare feet touching the stones felt like pacing under the moon.

For this set of photos, we also specially tested several different lighting angles; for instance, the hair strands under side-rim lighting would be struck with a silver-white halo, while the front light allowed the facial makeup to stay clean and translucent. Small accessories including the choker and wristlets were restored as closely as possible to the original design without major modifications, purely to make the overall styling look coordinated and consistent. During post-production editing, the saturation was not excessively raised either; instead, the white-and-purple tones were kept to retain the original silk texture as much as possible, with only some cold-toned rendering done in the dark areas to reinforce the atmosphere.

From makeup and styling to shooting and post-production, a lot of thought was actually spent pondering the character's temperament for this traditional style cosplay. The overall visual keynote finds a balance between "ethereal" and "soft," possessing both the crisp coolness when holding the sword and that quiet charm when sitting on the chair. This studio shoot attempt was quite rich in scene elements, so I am still very satisfied with the layering of the entire set; although it's a fixed scene, it should present that cool and slightly mysterious feeling of the character through different postures and gazes. The completeness is very high, and I also want to record this piece of work in my favorite traditional Xianxia style with Anime-style photography.
