The finished photos for this Cartethyia cosplay have finally been sorted out. Preparing the styling for this Wuthering Waves character required investing substantial time into studying the costume's construction. For the hair, the pale-blonde wig had to be re-trimmed so the curve of the bangs aligned with the blue-and-white branch-shaped headpiece on top, while braiding neat plaits along both sides. The elf ear props were secured using skin wax and specialized adhesive; achieving a seamless blend took over half an hour just for the ears. For makeup, I opted for a luminous, sheer base with deepened contours around the eyes, paired with light-colored contact lenses to capture the character's ethereal presence as a Fantasy spirit.

The outfit is rich in dimensional layers. The white sleeveless minidress is printed with black botanical motifs, while the black leather choker around the neck and the shoulder accents demanded precise tension adjustments. The biggest highlight is undeniably the translucent cape featuring a blue-to-white gradient. Because the cape's fabric is remarkably lightweight and prone to creasing, I ironed it thoroughly before heading out. The white strappy wraps along the arms and legs were rather intricate; to keep them from slipping during the shoot, I used hidden clips and double-sided fashion tape to secure the details.

On the day of the shoot, we chose an outdoor venue featuring a European fountain and arched stone architecture. The afternoon light was soft and diffused, free from the harsh glare of midday sun. The fountain pool and stone pavers offered wonderful ambient bounce light, while the verdant trees in the background injected life. Against this backdrop, the perspective lines were stunning, with the fountain adding rich depth to the composition.

The posing guidance during the shoot was also delightful. The photographer was adept at capturing dynamic movement. The cape was very long, so to make it billow, I practiced slow walking and turning, keeping micro-expressions carefully composed through every motion. Wearing relatively high-heeled sandals on uneven cobblestones severely tested foot endurance. Mid-shoot, leaning casually against the rim of the fountain pool yielded an exceptionally organic frame, showcasing leg contours while exuding an effortless, relaxed demeanor. Outdoor photography inevitably had small hiccups—such as the hem of the cape catching on shrubs or stray hairs blowing across my face, requiring continuous touch-ups. The overall color palette turned out wonderfully natural without heavy artificial processing, preserving the authentic interplay of light and shadow. Although the preparation and shoot were physically taxing, seeing the detailed fidelity and atmospheric harmony in the finished frames made all the effort worthwhile.
