[Guizhong Cosplay] Genshin Impact Guizhong Studio Photography Log

This set of Guizhong cosplay photos was shot in a studio right after the ijoy anime convention. Since convention venues are usually crowded with complex lighting and environments, making it difficult to capture intricate design details, I chose a studio shoot to complete this more detailed photo set.

Regarding the outfit itself, this design contains far more details than imagined. The top is made of off-white jacquard fabric with subtle patterns, showing a very natural texture under softbox lighting that feels warm and gentle. The neckline adopts a halter off-the-shoulder design, which accentuates the collarbone and necklines beautifully. The cuffs feature wide, flowing water sleeves—an ethereal design that demands strict posture control during shooting to avoid looking bulky or cluttered. The skirt and ribbons use deep blue fabric sprinkled with subtle shimmers like a starry sky, creating a vivid contrast with the white top and delivering rich visual layering.

For hair and makeup, the silver-gray wig features light blue highlights, a cool-toned palette perfectly matching the character's setting. The finishing touch is the bright blue geometric hair ornament—simple in shape yet highly recognizable. I specifically teased the roots for extra volume to make the look more natural. I opted for light, daily eyeshadow paired with slightly swept-up eyeliner and light blue contacts, focusing visual attention on the eyes. This clean, luminous makeup suits cool fair skin and pale hair styling exceptionally well.

During shooting, we experimented with several compositions. For the standing pose, I stood on a black iron step ladder, utilizing vertical height difference to display full-body completeness and elongation. For the seated pose, a low-angle shot was chosen alongside a gray round plush mat; half-covering my face with wide water sleeves conveyed a lazy yet mysterious vibe. There's also a close-up dedicated to legs and ankles—barefoot on a small white plush mat to deliberately showcase the blue ankle accessory, adding dynamic life and subtle realism to the image.

My feet were paired with transparent block-heeled sandals, a shoe style that minimizes visual clutter and leaves leg lines looking long and clean. The sets shown were completed under overhead studio softboxes and side fill lights, while on-site crew continuously helped untangle trailing ribbons and sleeves—making the final photos hard-won indeed.

While Convention photos are lively, studio focus elevates character texture to the next level. Integrating Guizhong's ethereal, serene style into the minimalist studio environment creates a clean color contrast. Taking these photos wasn't just about showing off the outfit, but also conveying the character's inner gentleness and resilience through gaze and posture.

From early pattern-making and costume tailoring to wig trimming, makeup adjustments, and posing guidance during the shoot, every step required teamwork.
