Shooting Yixuan, the Master of Yunkui Mountain, in a white studio setting, the biggest challenge was how to express the character's aura and dynamic presence within a minimalist, pure white background. The outfit's deep blue tones with gold accents, paired with her iconic silver-white long hair, called for a chilly yet magnificent effect. During the shoot, strong wind was specially arranged to create a flowing, fluttering feel for the hair strands and wide sleeves, forming a visual contrast of motion and stillness against the small yellow props held in hand.

In terms of details, pairing the white miniskirt with semi-sheer black stockings and glossy high heels not only faithfully recreated the character's outfit, but also added a touch of subtle sexiness to the simple styling. To highlight the long lines of the legs, we experimented with cylinder props and high stool positions, cleverly utilizing tilted leg lines in composition to stretch visual proportions. The reflections of the glossy heels on the white floor enhanced the image's texture, while the black stockings revealed delicate fabric textures under intense lighting. The sheer transparency of the black stockings was just right, complementing the graceful curve of the high heels to elevate both full-body shots and seated poses. When selecting photos, my absolute favorite was the pose sitting on the wooden high stool with one leg naturally extended forward—it clearly displays the garment structure while maximizing the beauty of body curves.

As for props, the classic yellow cross plane and yellow paper cards are soul elements of the design. Holding them in hand not only fills the gap in hand gestures but also adds playfulness to her identity as "Master." During repeated pose adjustments, I realized Yixuan isn't the type of character who is cold and aloof to the point of being unapproachable; instead, her movements require a sense of relaxed ease. Whether sitting cross-legged on the floor playing with props or holding up a paper strip, her eyes must maintain a composure that discerns the whole picture. Particularly, the cross plane, held in hand, acts not only like a cute little companion but also creates a feeling of interaction in front of the lens. When the white hair strands flutter in unison with these yellow props, it adds a touch of warmth to the cool-toned image.

This white studio shoot was extremely efficient. The white backdrop focused all attention on the character and outfit, allowing the pure light and shadow to completely reveal the fabric textures. The sleeves of the deep blue jacket featured vertical stripes and a lace-like texture; the flared sleeve design created graceful curves when blown by the fan, resulting in unexpected dynamic effects with every shutter click. Special attention had to be paid to wig maintenance during the shoot to prevent tangling, but that wild and lively feeling captured the moment the wind blew was truly rare. The model, Teacher Wuyue, had an exceptionally deep understanding of the character, striking poses tailored to the "Master" persona with minimal guidance, making the overall completion level of this photoset remarkably high.

In post-processing, we aimed to preserve natural skin texture and smooth lighting transitions, keeping subtle highlights on the black stockings to enhance texture without making the image look greasy or unnatural. High-key white studio photography may seem simple on the surface, but it demands strong emotional expression from the model; otherwise, the frame can easily feel empty. Fortunately, this outfit itself possesses abundant visual elements—black and gold color-blocking accents in the details and an asymmetrical hemline design—which enriched the layers of the whole image. Throughout the entire production process, pairing a few simple props with white studio lighting successfully brought out the character's core aura. For anime-style photography, this high-key tone remains a versatile and timeless choice, and I look forward to working together with such seamless chemistry again next time.
