July schedules are completely fully booked. Recently, I've been mainly sorting out and planning the creative directions I want to try for August and September. Based in Guangzhou, cosplayers or photographers with ideas are welcome to network and connect! Currently, I am focusing on recruiting cosplayers interested in TFP photoshoots. You don't need to deliberately cater to any specific labels; I value your own understanding of the character and your desire for expression.
I have formed a small team with two long-term partner photographers—one male and one female. This allows us to balance different perspectives and emotional control during studio communication or outdoor shoots. Our equipment setup is relatively complete; besides standard focal length portrait lenses, we also have ultra-wide-angle and fisheye lenses, which are perfect for shooting visually impactful compositions for a studio portrait, giving a great advantage for combat-style characters or fantasy settings. Our accustomed shooting style is focused heavily on details, with high standards for everything from the flatness of the costume and the frizziness of the wig to how well the makeup fits the character design. Therefore, we hope our collaborating cosplayers have solid official shoot experience and mature makeup/styling skills; we politely decline beginners who have absolutely no official portfolio photos. This is also to ensure a good output for the time investment from both sides.
Pre-shoot communication is a step I value immensely. We don't want to just wing it once we arrive at the studio; instead, we discuss in advance to determine the storyboards, poses, and emotional direction. If you have specific wild ideas or a preferred camera language, we can brainstorm together. During the shooting process, models also need to have enough patience to cooperate with us in repeatedly adjusting angles and lighting. Capturing an exaggerated arm swing or a frozen gaze might take multiple attempts to achieve the most ideal state. If you experience fatigue or find that the styling isn't sitting right midway through the shoot, we can call a timeout and adjust immediately, focusing entirely on co-creation.
In terms of cost distribution, studio portrait shoots require covering the studio fee and transportation, while outdoor shoots require covering transportation and ticket expenses. This needs to be clarified in advance; mutual selection makes cooperation smoother. As for transportation, I primarily travel by subway and bus. Only on rainy days or at locations more than one kilometer away from a subway station might we need to take a taxi due to the large amount of photography equipment. I hope everyone can understand. After all, running around locations with lights and lenses sometimes genuinely requires some transport convenience.
As for the shoot themes, the range listed in Image 2 basically covers the IPs and styles we are currently focusing on, including Touhou Project, GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE, Fate, Wuthering Waves, Arknights, Honor of Kings, as well as Lolita, combat-style characters, and Original Characters. However, you don't have to be confined to these. If you have costumes or characters you're interested in, you can also send a DM to ask. As long as I feel it aligns with our aesthetics, I'll be willing to try. For example, various mecha, dark, or cyberpunk settings—as long as the costume is on point, my partner and I are very eager to take them on for some anime-style photography creations.
Currently, our slots are mainly concentrated in August and September.
