For these ComiDay 30 Convention photos, the preparation process from costumes to props was more tedious than expected. Keeping the pink feathered wings fluffy took a lot of time, and that metallic choker around my neck was actually somewhat constricting in the stuffy venue. During the shoot, the venue was packed with people and the background was extremely cluttered. The photographer specifically chose a telephoto lens paired with a large aperture, using the complex spotlights and ceiling lights as background bokeh to nicely blur and isolate the messy convention scene. The first picture, sitting sideways hugging my knees, is one of my personal favorites; it perfectly utilized the contrast of the white plush mat to echo the leg lines with the overall cool-toned clothing. The two photos holding the black watermelon ball were meant to restore the character's classic daily state. Because of the complex lighting inside the hall, skin tones easily turned yellowish or grayish; photo retouching mainly focused on exposure and color balance, including brightening the white clothes and slightly lowering the saturation of the pink wings so they wouldn't look too glaring. Some passersby in the background inevitably entered the frame, so a slightly stronger blur effect was applied. The entire shooting process was actually quite tough. I had to constantly adjust my sitting posture to match the photographer's angles; because the floor was very hard, sitting directly on the plush blanket was still bumpy and uncomfortable, and wearing high heels made my calves very tight. Regarding this outfit, the light blue jacket paired with a white tank top and denim shorts is actually very casual daily wear, but once the choker, wings, and that unique headpiece are added, the character's vibe emerges completely with a strong contrast—which is also one of the reasons I love this character. At the shoot, many fellow enthusiasts helped each other out. Although the gear was heavy and running back and forth was exhausting, seeing such clean final images that match the essence of the work made all the effort worthwhile. Huge thanks to the photographer for their patient guidance in helping me find the most suitable expressions and angles.
