This set of Medb from the recent Jinan anime convention is finally out. The location was chosen at the second-floor corridor of the convention venue, where the overhead light shining down combined with the dark background of the scene perfectly balanced the silver-white costume.

Let's talk about the costume and props: A lot of thought went into the material selection for this costume. The main white fabric utilizes a material with a certain stiffness and luster so that it can maintain an excellent silhouette even under the overhead light of the indoor exhibition hall, without looking floppy. The ruffles at the neckline, cuffs, and skirt hem are handled delicately, and to ensure a sense of layering, a structured mesh tulle was added to the inner layer. The small crown headpiece was custom-made; to fit the Queen of Connacht's setting, a silver-white base inlaid with light-colored rhinestones was chosen, giving off a faint shimmer under the lights.

Regarding the makeup: The eye makeup intentionally intensified the red smudging under the eyes and at the outer corners. Paired with light-colored contact lenses, I hoped to present that confident and slightly haughty expression of the character in front of the lens. Styling the wig was also a key focus; long pink hair can easily get frizzy from walking around at an anime convention, so smoothing care spray was applied before shooting, which resulted in that flowing elegance fluttering with the movements in the second image.

Shooting and logistics: Special thanks to the photography teachers from the Jinan Dress-Up Darling Cosplay Photography Studio, the makeup artist Tiantian, and the post-editor Baiye. Shooting at an anime convention venue is a true test of cooperation; the on-site lighting is complex and the crowd is dense, so the photographers worked incredibly hard to find angles for this piece of Cosplay photography. The second photo was actually captured from a camera position squeezed into a rather tight corner, which, cooperating with the arrangement of the overhead lamps, significantly elevated the light and shadow texture of the frame.

There was also a little episode on the day of the shoot: a friend at the anime convention actually joked and asked me to whip her. Although I knew it was just for fun, under the 'Queen' state, I had to do my best to maintain the persona, replying with a cold face, 'R-Right?'. Looking back at the photos now, I feel that cold and proud temperament was indeed captured perfectly.

As a coser, every photoshoot is a concrete materialization of one's understanding of the character. From the flow of the wig to the subtle structure of the costume, from the gripping posture of the props to the expression management in front of the camera, everything is an attempt to restore the unique charm of that character in one's heart. The shooting for this Queen style look has come to a temporary close, and I truly enjoyed this creative process.
