[Nahida Cosplay] Genshin Impact Lesser Lord Kusanali's Outing Record at Firefly ACG Expo

I took this Lesser Lord Kusanali look for Nahida on a trip to the Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo, and both the photoshoot and walking around the venue were truly enjoyable. As I organized these photos taken in the woods, I wanted to write down a quick record of some details along the way.

Regarding this Nahida cosplay costume, the wig is one of the souls of this look. The base white hair alone requires a very smooth texture, and on top of that, the wig features gradient ends transitioning to emerald green starting from the sides of the ears, which needed layered handling without looking messy. I also adjusted the wearing angle of the leaf-shaped hair ornament on the side myself, ensuring it blended with the hair color while remaining secure without tilting when walking. The main costume is a sleeveless white halter dress featuring cutout designs with green and gold patterns. The skirt hem is irregular; the outer layer consists of semi-transparent white fabric pieces, with green leaf-shaped patchworks along the edges. For costumes with such intricate patterns, the key to great photos often lies in displaying the front patterns symmetrically and flatly.

The footwear design is something I particularly want to highlight. It isn't a closed boot, but rather white open-toe Velcro leg covers with several sets of crisscross straps on the outside. While this design stays very faithful to the character setting, from a cosplay perspective, keeping the prop straps from slipping off while walking and applying neat nail polish on the exposed toes took quite a bit of effort during preparation. The ring-shaped arm guards on the wrists combine fabric and plastic materials, which complement the arm lines wonderfully.

Moving on to the small prop I brought for the shoot, it's the green sphere plushie you see in the photos. It has a round, chubby shape with two red star patterns as eyes. Holding it in my arms or placing it beside me on the outdoor lawn served as a natural focal point, making the "forest ambiance" of the overall look much more tangible.

The location for this photoshoot was chosen in an outdoor grove and lawn with dense vegetation. The lighting was quite good at the time, with natural light filtering through the tree canopy to create soft dappled sunlight. The photographer put a lot of thought into composition and post-processing. Especially for the swing shot (Photo 1), floating green glowing leaves and fine star specks were added in post, which, combined with the intertwined vines, instantly elevated the atmosphere, giving the picture an illusion of an elf resting in the woods. The running shot (Photo 2) captured a great dynamic moment—one foot lifted with the skirt flowing, making the character look lively. For the two sitting shots (Photo 3 and Photo 4 stacked vertically), I deliberately held the plushie to my chest while positioning the open-toe leg covers naturally, presenting Lesser Lord Kusanali's approachable and playful charm.

Guangzhou's weather was muggy, and wearing layered clothing—even if the fabric wasn't too heavy—meant sweating was inevitable, making my face somewhat oily, so touch-ups were fairly frequent. Fortunately, the wig and hair ornaments were fixed securely, so no major mishaps occurred during the shoot. Having seen many Nahida cosplay works before, trying it myself this time felt like fulfilling my deep love for this Lesser Lord Kusanali character look.

Looking back at these photos after the shoot, the combination of various angles, states, and props provided different feelings. This photoset retains many natural outdoor elements while subtly incorporating dreamy light and shadow through post-processing, making it a wonderful memory for this anime convention trip. Preparing for and joining conventions at my own pace and treating every photoset with care is truly the greatest joy of participating in these events.
