This shooting project is Eleg from Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. To accurately recreate her slightly tsundere yet highly combat-capable aura, a lot of thought went into everything from the preliminary wig trimming to the adjustment of costumes and props. The wig was chosen in a lighter golden shade, specially styled to be fluffy, and the ahoge on top of the head was repeatedly adjusted with hairspray and positioning clips for a long time to ensure it stood up naturally in front of the lens. The makeup focused on highlighting the red-and-blue contrast in the eye area; blue contact lenses combined with red smudging at the outer corners of the eyes brought out that slightly sci-fi sharp gaze when the lens zoomed in.

On the costume side, the texture of this white-and-yellow spliced cropped jacket is better than expected. The high-collar design paired with bright yellow mecha gloves creates a very noticeable mechanical piecing feel when lifting the arms. To match the original design, the orange webbing and techwear belt around the waist were adjusted many times in position to ensure the irregular draping maintained a nice arc during dynamic shooting. The frayed-edge ripped denim shorts, paired with black straps on the thighs, visually lengthened the leg lines. The most heavy-duty part was this set of equipment: the orange-and-black sci-fi firearm and the giant yellow energy tank next to it. Although built with lightweight materials as a base, holding or leaning on them for a long time still consumed quite a lot of physical stamina.

The shooting location was chosen in an industrial-style studio featuring a large number of metal scaffolding and pipes. The on-site lighting conditions were both challenging and exceptionally effective. The photographer cast a large amount of cool blue and neon red light sources in the background, outlining the tough contours of the metal framework while adding soft light to the front and sides of the character. The single-knee kneeling pose in the first photo was actually finalized after finding the center of gravity on the metal platform several times. Holding the gun with the left hand, raising the right hand to rest near the head, while keeping the waist and abdomen tense, was done to showcase that readiness-to-fight vibe at any moment. Slightly twisting the body was also meant to better display the waistline and leg muscle lines.

The second close-up was mainly intended to capture the emotion of a close-up shot. Grasping the collar and webbing with both hands, chin slightly tucked, gaze directed straight into the lens, carrying a slight playful provocativeness after unloading the heavy equipment. The glossy material of the gloves reflects unique highlights under the ambient light, adding plenty of texture to the frame.

The third photo changed to a standing pose, with the props switched to holding that huge cylindrical energy tank. This action requires core strength to stabilize the body's center of gravity, lifting the left hand upward to make a claw-like gesture, paired with the red neon tubes and blue ambient light in the background, attempting to create a visual tension of precisely controlling firepower amidst industrial ruins. The whole shooting process tested physical strength quite a bit, especially trying to look cool while wearing a jacket of this thickness and gloves that restricted finger movement. But seeing the mechanical texture of the props, the collision of light and shadow, and the perfect freeze-frame of action tension in the final photos made all the sweat worthwhile. I hope this set of pictures allows everyone to feel her capable aura of being ready to open fire at any time.
