For today's cosplay photo set, I specifically brought along a bunny ear headband and her iconic red plush doll, aiming to fully capture the Spark Knight's playful spirit. As Genshin Impact has evolved, the character pool has grown immensely, and the community frequently debates the viability of legacy characters in the current meta. Six years have passed—is Klee still worth pulling? As a day-one player and as a cosplayer who dedicated this shoot to her, here are my candid thoughts.
First, let's talk about costume details. The red-and-white colorway carries immense visual impact, with puffy white sleeves pairing striking contrast against the bright crimson dress. Nuanced details like the brown collar ribbon, golden four-leaf clovers along the skirt hem, and red-and-white wrist bracers added immense production value on camera. Styling the wig and anchoring the elf ears took careful precision, and makeup centered on warm red shading around the eyes to channel her cheerful, mischievous charm. Handling props was a workout—the large red plush doll is quite bulky, requiring careful balance while single-handedly lifting my skirt, raising one leg, or flashing a peace sign. What looks effortless on camera actually demands considerable core stability.
Regarding Klee's meta standing and pulling advice: for players solely chasing full stars in the Spiral Abyss, the current pyro DPS roster is overflowing with alternatives. Klee requires high mechanical proficiency and tight animation cancels, especially with jump-canceling her charged attacks. However, for those who love open-world exploration, adore hearing her energetic "da-da-da" running voice lines, or simply cherish her cheerful sunshine persona, pulling her is never a regret. Content like Song of the Empty Moon and Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana weaves intriguing subtext regarding Rhinedottir and the Hexenzirkel; as a pivotal character tied to Khaenri'ah lore, Klee's narrative weight continues to grow. Throughout the shoot, I kept thinking that if future updates expand on her origins, her charm will only soar further.
For footwear, I chose white Stockings paired with black Mary Janes, adding a touch of obedient maid charm while allowing walking and hopping poses to feel full of kinetic bounce. After several hours under studio lights, constantly grooming the wig and straightening the dress, seeing the spirited Spark Knight in the final shots made every ounce of effort worthwhile.
Ultimately, pulling on banners comes down to your personal playstyle. While Klee might no longer be the undisputed damage ceiling, her gameplay mechanics and unmatched cuteness remain completely unique.
