This set of Mai Xiaowen cosplay photos from Delta Force has finally wrapped up. To deliver the best possible outcome, extensive effort went into refining the costume and props during pre-production. The layering of this tactical kit is remarkably rich—especially the black tactical Leather jacket, adorned with streamlined gold accents that lend a high-tech edge, complemented by faithfully crafted asymmetrical shoulder armor. Paired with a white base shirt, fitted black leather pants, and tactical combat boots, the entire look exudes an unyielding, hardcore combat persona.
Pose choreography was the prime focus on shoot day. Because Mai Xiaowen embodies profound tactical prowess, capturing authentic physical strength and commanding presence was crucial. The tactical sidearm and combat knife held in my hands were weighted replica props whose realistic heft naturally grounded my gestures. Notable details include the yellow tactical webbing straps and white tassel pendants cinched at the waist, which brought fantastic visual richness to the ensemble. After strapping on the face mask, slipping into fingerless tactical gloves, and donning the silver-white wig and hair accessories, I felt completely locked into combat readiness.
To complement the seamless white cyclorama background, the photographer explored diverse lighting setups, utilizing soft, even illumination to chisel the Leather jacket's tactile grain and lustrous sheen. During pose direction, we tested a stance perching one foot on a folding ladder while aiming the firearm. This position heavily tested core stability; compounded by the limited stretch of tight leather pants, crouching and lifting the leg proved physically demanding, requiring controlled breathing while maintaining a sharp, composed silhouette. Wearing the face mask for extended periods grew somewhat stifling, yet seeing the piercing gaze and crisp execution on the monitor made every hardship worthwhile.
The entire shoot unfolded smoothly as we cycled through standing, seated, and single-knee kneeling stances while brandishing firearms and tactical blades. For characters steeped in Techwear and Tactical style aesthetics, muscular tension and focused eye contact communicate far more narrative weight than exaggerated facial expressions. Every micro-adjustment of body angles and weapon handling was calibrated to mirror her cool-headed, decisive resolve. This shoot was an unforgettable experience, and I hope this series lets everyone feel the distinctive charm of Mai Xiaowen.
