This time, the cosplay sharing features Si Xiaonan. Since choosing the character, I have really liked her cool exterior yet warm interior, combined with a sporty setting that carries a touch of tactical feel.

Let's first talk about the outfit coordination. This white sports jacket with red and black edge decorations is very sleek; the slim-fit cut and waist-baring design make the overall look very energetic. The black short skirt paired with a wide white belt visually elongates the proportions, and when combined with the pure white long leg sleeves and black-and-red shoes, the colors of the whole body are only black, white, and red, but the sense of layering is very distinct. To recreate the character, I spent special effort on the hairstyle: a high updo accented with that red hair tie, plus those iconic black-framed round glasses, instantly giving that cool and focused vibe. The accessories and wig were all finalized after multiple adjustments to ensure accurate reproduction even under studio highlights.

The shooting process was actually funner than imagined. These two pictures were taken inside the exhibition hall of the anime convention. Because of the blue-gray carpet in the hall and the darkened surrounding background, it instead made the highly bright white jacket look exceptionally good in photos. I specifically found a white plush blanket in the venue as a foreground prop to give the tough gun-holding actions a bit of softness and visual contrast.

When taking the first picture, I adopted a single-knee kneeling pose. This posture actually tests core strength quite a bit, because you have to keep the upper body straight while controlling the stability of holding guns with both hands. Raising the gun forward with the right hand to aim while pointing the left hand to the side as a warning—this crisscross gaze-guiding composition is very classic, letting the lens directly capture the character's boldness.

The second picture gives a completely different feeling, where I shoved a gun right in front of the lens. This exaggerated perspective composition breaks convention, giving the audience a sense of oppression as if they are locked into position. Coordinated with a slightly forward-leaning body posture, the whole person looks both cool and a bit playful, perfectly fitting the character's fluid sense in battle.

Of course, cosplay is not as simple as just putting on a set of clothes. When holding the prop guns, I would repeatedly think about the character's behavioral habits, simulating that tension or coolness. Although the props are relatively heavy and arms get sore after holding them up for a long time, as long as it can produce one or two eye-catching photos, everything is worth it. Everyone might think characters holding guns looks very easy when watching the animation, but when you lift them up yourself, the gravity combined with the coordination requirements of the movements makes you realize that many details actually need temporary adjustments at the shooting site.

As for the post-production part, I tried to maintain the texture of the original photos as much as possible without excessive special effects processing. I mainly adjusted the color contrast slightly to make the white purer and the red more striking, which can better highlight the character's primary position in the frame. After all, the core of cosplay sharing is still to reproduce the charm of the character itself, while excessive post-production would instead cover up the clothing details and our diligence on-site.

Participating in this convention's independent tour event, there were many friends with the same passion throughout the venue, shining brightly in the characters they love. I think this is where the charm of anime lies; we materialize those images living on our screens through costumes, props, and expressions. Although shooting all day can be exhausting, the moment I see the final photos, that sense of achievement is irreplaceable. This dual-wielding gun style can be considered a small achievement unlocked, giving me a deeper understanding of this character. I hope everyone likes this set of Slay the Gods(Anime) photos in the summer.
