The atmosphere at the Hefei Anyi Animation & Game Exhibition today was exceptionally lively, and receiving this set of convention photos instantly swept away the entire day's exhaustion. This time I cosplayed Mobius from Honkai Impact 3rd, which happened to coincide with the character's birthday, so I specifically picked convention day to drop an ultra-fast update of these convention photos.
Let me start with the outfit details. The most eye-catching part of this costume is the turquoise halter-neck top, tailored closely to the body. A lot of effort went into crafting the white lapel collar to ensure just the right stiffness without looking limp. The black straps across the chest serve as the soul of the outfit, and combined with the bronzed metal geometric buckle, max out both the tech vibe and snake-inspired motifs.
What satisfied me most, however, was the hairstyle. Searching through many options finally led to this grass-green wig, whose strands aren't stiffly straight but carry a gentle, natural wave. The bangs were trimmed to perfectly cover the forehead, pairing with green contact lenses to make the facial contours pop vividly.
During the convention, I intentionally tackled several distinct camera angles. For example, a full-body shot taken in a dark setting required standing on one leg with high heels gripping the floor—maintaining balance was slightly challenging, but the result turned out remarkably sharp. Another shot was taken under a large softbox; the soft-focus rim light created by backlighting instantly elevated the atmosphere. The texture of black stockings paired with black shorts and high heels visually elongated leg proportions, while the white outer coat draped casually over my arms added both layering and crisp professionalism.
While navigating through the convention, many fellow fans recognized the character, and I heard many warm birthday wishes for our beloved Snake Lady. That sense of recognition is the ultimate motivation for any cosplayer.
The venue flow at the Hefei Anyi Exhibition was arranged really well, showing the organizers' great attention to detail. Wanting to preserve the character's distant yet cunning aura, I complemented cool standing poses with vivid gestures—such as gently touching a finger to my lips in close-ups—to recreate her disposition across different moods.
Regarding makeup, I chose a matte long-wear foundation because crowds and hot lighting at conventions easily cause oily shine. The eye makeup focused on tightlining and parallel outer wing eyeliner to give the eyes a subtle upward lift, with green contacts serving as the finishing touch. I selected a reddish lip shade so the palette wouldn't feel overly cold, striking a perfect balance.
From initial conceptualization to fitting and today's final presentation, many nights were spent refining details. For instance, the wig's bangs were measured repeatedly before settling on the final length. Adjusting the bust shaping of the outfit also required multiple revisions, as halter-neck designs heavily depend on precise patterning.
Every time I cosplay a beloved character, I feel like that anime figure truly steps alive into reality. Though maintaining form on-site is exhausting, seeing the shutter click and hearing everyone's friendly greetings brings joy beyond words. This time felt fantastic—the fabric texture, prop completion, and confidence shown in front of the lens made this birthday convention photos update deeply meaningful. Reviewing the photos repeatedly after organizing them, every bit of effort felt entirely worthwhile.
In subsequent photo records, I also preserved more casual and relaxed angles, such as mirror selfies and casual seated poses, embracing Casual cosplay. These varied expressions align closer with how ordinary fans understand her complex personality. Although shooting on-location faces many uncontrollable factors, both controlled indoor lighting and various convention environments harmonized wonderfully this time. Engaging in fun exchanges with fellow fans at the venue left unique memories for this cosplay. These subtle moments carry far more warmth than purely pursuing superficial accuracy.
Even though the convention event has wrapped up, looking back at these photos brings the excitement and joy rushing back, turning into momentum to perform even better next time. I hope these ultra-fast convention photos bring everyone a great visual treat, and happy birthday once again to Snake Lady!
