[Yin Ziping cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Chilled Chalcedony: Garden Snapshots

"I have no desire to duel with you."

This shoot showcases a Yin Ziping cosplay featuring the Chilled Chalcedony skin from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. The primary color palette of this outfit is cool white accented with sleek black lines. The tailored cut of this modified Qipao fits snugly, with richly layered ruffles along the hem and an eye-catching cutout design across the chest. To faithfully recreate the character design, I paired it with over-the-knee White stockings and chunky-soled white Mary Jane shoes; although walking was strenuous due to the towering heels, combining them with the White stockings dramatically elongated my leg silhouette, staying true to the character's cool, translucent aesthetic. The hair features pitch-black blunt bangs and twin pigtails, crowned by a distinct oversized white blossom and dangling tassels that evoke classical charm, while the makeup utilized a cool-toned foundation complemented by soft pink eyeshadow.

For the location, we selected a classical garden where dark wooden doors, gray steps, and verdant bamboo groves seamlessly set off the cool white tones of the outfit, rendering a remarkably clean composition. The prop in hand was a pure white tachi, with long flowing ribbons attached to the hilt and scabbard that created stunning snapshot motion when swung. Because the garment fabric has a satin-like sheen, we deliberately shot on an overcast day and beneath tree canopies, taking advantage of soft diffused ambient light to prevent blown-out highlights from washing out intricate textures.

To capture striking poses, I tested various stances: sitting on the stone steps and extending my legs forward to maximize the texture of the White stockings and leg proportions, or raising the tachi in a drawing motion accompanied by the flowing ribbons. Climbing up and down around the garden in platform heels and tight clothing was genuinely exhausting, requiring constant care to avoid snagging the White stockings or crumpling the ruffled hem. Overall, the craftsmanship of this outfit is extraordinary; from the structured collar to the tiered lower hem, every element warrants close appreciation. The tachi prop also boasts great tactile quality, with the long white streamers making it immensely photogenic.

This offline shoot was a wonderful experience, where the secluded tranquility of the garden melded flawlessly with the character's cool elegance. Regarding post-processing, we mainly fine-tuned the cool white balance to preserve the fabric's jacquard texture, the translucency of the White stockings, and the cleanliness of the makeup, eschewing heavy filters since the raw shots already had a superb foundation. Striking these poses, I realized how much the heart-shaped black choker and the chest cutout flatter the figure. Walking through the garden in this attire as a gust of wind sent the long ribbons and skirt hem fluttering created an incredible atmosphere. I feel this shoot, as part of the 2D Vision Project, captured the character's unique blend of icy serenity and combat readiness to perfection.
