The convention photos from Chengdu CD30 are finally completely retouched and posted! The outfit chosen this time was a white-and-red nurse style cosplay dress infused with subtle demonic elements. To ensure overall stylistic cohesion, I paired it with a voluminous silver-white wavy wig, accented with tiny red floral pins woven through the locks. My favorite details were the red-framed glasses and vibrant red contacts, complemented by elf ears, instantly delivering a sweet yet delightfully mischievous aura.

The outfit itself boasts intricate details: crimson cross-lacing across the chest, with sleeves and skirt hems cascading in tiered lace frills and ruffles that felt wonderfully light and airy in motion. On my back were black bat wings, while my hands gripped a red trident prop. Though adorable at first glance, wearing this gear was far from effortless—securing the wings firmly so they wouldn't slip during movement across the crowded Chengdu Anime Convention floor was crucial. I was even worried about the props getting crushed on the subway ride over, but thankfully everything made it safely to the venue.

As always, the convention was packed, and the atmosphere at Chengdu CD30 was second to none. Because overhead hall lighting can be chaotic, the photographer and I constantly coordinated on eliminating harsh shadows. Finding a relatively spacious corner, we laid down a white plush rug to create a striking contrast against the dark floor. I explored diverse postures—kneeling on one knee, sitting gently on the floor, or raising the trident in a dynamic leap. White stockings paired with white lace-up leather shoes complemented the layered skirt, accentuating elongated, graceful leg lines before the camera.

Post-processing was by far the most time-consuming phase. Since the garments were pure white, stray ambient lighting in the hall easily blew out fabric textures; I carefully pulled down highlights and recovered shadow details, shifting the grading slightly cooler to emphasize the translucent luminescence of the silver hair and white dress. When retouching the hair, silver-white fibers easily turn into a chalky, flat glare under hall lights, so curve adjustments were used to restore dynamic range and preserve natural light falloff across individual strands. For the skin, I focused on evening out tones without excessive smoothing to maintain authentic living texture. Background blur was retouched again to soften distracting attendees and advertising signs along the perimeter, locking visual focus squarely onto the subject and props.

I was thoroughly pleased with both makeup and accessories this time—especially the fusion of elf ears and bat wings, which looked unexpectedly harmonious. Although running around the convention was exhausting, receiving this Event photo delivery made every bit of effort worthwhile. The design of the costume was striking, and our corner set gave ample room for creative expression. I definitely look forward to exploring more cosplay with fantasy elements in the future.
