"I have severed your path to survival." This time, I finally captured the desired effect for this Yin Ziping cosplay featuring the Chalcedony ice core look. Tremendous thanks to Teacher Dabing; his control over light, shadow, and character lines is truly exceptionally precise. The entire studio photography session was maintained in a highly efficient state full of tacit understanding, with many movements passing in almost a single take.

Let's first talk about the clever details of this costume. The overall tone of Chalcedony ice core is an exceptionally translucent pure white, but it is embellished with restrained black piping and ties at the neckline, waistline, and skirt hem. Shooting this black-and-white pairing against a pure white background is actually a major test of planning skills, because if handled poorly, the white clothing will be eaten up by the background, causing the silhouette to blur. However, the final output turned out unexpectedly great; the layering of the white ruffles was perfectly outlined by the highlights. Paired with white gloves and over-knee white stockings, the overall styling possesses a lightweight combat feel, blending both softness and sharpness.

The long-handled prop held in my hand is also the core of the styling. Honestly, the prop itself isn't particularly heavy, but when required to maintain a specific angle for a long time, it drains a lot of core strength. To simulate the postures of drawing and sheathing the blade during the shoot, I needed to adjust the arm tension in coordination with the long handle, while balancing the facial orientation and expression, striving to present that unhurried coldness and elegance of Yin Ziping in battle.

Next, the makeup and hair. The silver-white extra-long twin tails style has an extremely high recognizability, paired with black-and-white bow knot hair accessories on the side to increase the visual center of gravity of the head. To fit the temperament of the character in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, the eye makeup emphasized crisp lines instead of overly complex colors, using eyelashes and eyeliner to magnify the small, delicate facial contours, ensuring the gaze remains spirited and focused even in a pure white environment.

The shooting process of this whole photo set was actually quite a test of physical stamina. Because I needed to wear white stiletto high heels and maintain various postures on the smooth studio floor. For instance, the moment of turning back in picture one required tightening the waist and abdominal muscles, utilizing core strength to control the twist angle of the upper body; in the shot where I held up the long-handled prop, my center of gravity leaned back slightly, supported by a single leg, requiring me to stabilize the high heels' grip while making the muscle lines of the thighs and calves present a natural sense of extension. A slight variation in foot movements would drastically change the overall aura, but fortunately, the most extended moment was successfully snapped.

I highly love Teacher Dabing's technique of high-key studio photography with high-key exposure. He distributed the light very evenly and softly, leaving almost no noticeable harsh shadows, making the entire frame look as if situated above a snowy domain or the clouds. This minimalist sense of high-end quality precisely hit the icy yet clear charm that this Chalcedony ice core look wants to convey. Before the shoot, I was still worried whether white clothing against a white background would look overly monotonous, but the final cuts told me that using pure texture to express the character's chill is often much more visually impactful than gaudy, complex set designs.

I always have a special fondness for the character Yin Ziping. She looks delicate on the outside but is actually witty and playful. On the battlefield of NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, she possesses both the goodwill of saving the dying and healing the wounded, as well as an absolute decisiveness that never drags its feet. Appearing this time in the image of Chalcedony ice core, this clothing style that mixes traditional Chinese elements with modern functional tactical gear granted me another layer of understanding toward her. Playing her is not just about putting on a set of clothes; it requires bringing that unique composure and pride of hers into the expressions and movements during this traditional Chinese-style game cosplay.

Although the makeup removal process after the shoot was tedious, looking at the camera's preview images made all the hard work feel completely worth it. Being able to freeze the beautiful state of this character with photography this time and present the work completely is inseparable from the entire team's meticulous preparation in the early stages. From clothing adjustments to handling props, and then communicating about the on-site lighting, every step of the cooperation was highly natural. This must be the absolute purest joy of doing cosplay.
