The reason I chose to shoot this full photoshoot set at a convention venue is that I felt the character's heroic and valiant demeanor matched the bustling expo atmosphere exceptionally well, allowing her visual tension to unfold across varying light and environmental conditions.
Let's first talk about the details of this look. The main challenge of this outfit lay in restoring the armor sections. The texture of the white armor with gold trim posed quite a test in material selection—especially those arm guards with heavy overlapping layers and patterns, which were not only visual focal points, but also carried substantial physical weight when worn. The signature bright blue gemstone on the chest served as the finishing touch of the entire outfit; to make it project a translucent reflective sheen under light, I specifically adjusted angles multiple times. The white tassel earrings paired against the black neckband added a touch of softness and lightness to the tough armor styling. For the wig, a light golden long straight style was used, with bangs carefully trimmed in length and curve to ensure my clear blue colored contacts remained visible. This makeup synergy was crucial—eye makeup and foundation needed to emphasize dimensional contours to recreate that valiant, cool elegance.
Shooting at a comic convention indeed presents greater challenges than studio shoots because the surrounding environment is complex with heavy foot traffic, often encountering enthusiastic Anime cosplay fans, which requires considerable composure while posing. However, the clear translucency brought by natural light on location, combined with the steel truss structures of the exhibition hall behind, gave this photo set a unique contrast and texture. I am personally very satisfied with the high-angle top-down perspective in Photo 3, which perfectly showcases the three-dimensional layering of the armor and accessories, concentrating visual weight on the upper body structure—a compositional attempt to compensate for space limitations at convention venues.
