[Arima Kana cosplay] Oshi no Ko stage outfit, dazzling starlight under the spotlight

The Arima Kana stage outfit I'm wearing this time is an outfit I started pondering the details of the moment I got my hands on it. Because the clothing has numerous layers, the wearing sequence and waist-cinching design are very particular. The innermost layer is a black-and-white vertical striped sleeveless shirt, featuring intricate ruffles on the chest and a white bow tie at the neckline. The outer layer, featuring a blue-and-gold stand collar and gold tassel shoulder epaulets, is the soul of the entire outfit and brings a lot of presence. The off-the-shoulder white sleeves come with blue trimming, and the brown belt and dangling thick gold rope at the waist add a sense of weight. The lower body skirt is a multi-layered patchwork consisting of striped fabric, a blue-and-yellow checkered skirt hem, and the innermost fluffy white multi-layered pleated skirt, creating a great sense of layering when spinning. Finally, paired with black glossy platform Martin boots, the overall styling visually possesses both idol refinement and stage power.

In terms of the wig, I chose a magenta bob cut with subtle glitter specks, with bangs trimmed to a slightly brow-hugging arc, and a small white hair ornament pinned to the left side. To match Kana's energetic yet somewhat stubborn temperament, pink-toned contact lenses were used in the makeup, with the eye makeup heavily blended using pink eyeshadow, while eyeliner and eyelashes enhanced the expression of the eyes. The base makeup was deliberately kept clean and translucent, and bright pink was used for the lips, making the overall makeup look both refined and vibrant.

The shooting location on the day of the shoot was chosen under an elevated highway; this industrial-feeling background nicely sets off the brightness of the clothing colors. Natural light filtered through the gaps of the bridge, providing very rich light-and-shadow layers. Because this outfit has many ruffles and skirts, static standing wasn't eye-catching enough, so the photographer had me constantly try various dynamic poses. The action in picture 2—turning sideways with hands on hips and looking back—was shot several times to capture the best arc of the skirt hem and tassels flying up. To showcase the confidence Kana has on stage, I tried adjusting the exertion point of my shoulders and the placement of my gaze, cooperating with the center of gravity of the platform boots, striving to make every freeze-frame carry stage tension.

The process of shooting this photoset was also a process of constantly moving closer to the character's inner self. Arima Kana's drive on stage—wanting to become a top star and never admitting defeat—deeply infected me. Therefore, during the portrayal, I didn't deliberately express cuteness or weakness; instead, I conveyed her ambition and persistence through crisp, decisive body language and a firm gaze. The complex details of this stage outfit and the constant adjustments during the shoot were all to faithfully restore that girl shining brightly under the spotlight as much as possible.
