[Iuno cosplay] Wuthering Waves seaside at sunset, wind and blue hair dancing together

This time I came to the seaside in Hainan to shoot the Wuthering Waves Iuno cosplay photoshoot. The sunset by the sea is truly nature's best reflector. When the pinkish-purple afterglow filled the sky, the entire sea surface and reefs were plated with a layer of warm light. However, the sea breeze was also really strong. To capture the feeling of the blue hair being lifted by the wind, the photographer and I repeatedly adjusted the angles on the reefs for a long time.
Let's talk about the preparation for this styling first. To restore Iuno's blue hair, I did a lot of homework in advance. The wind by the sea is extremely strong, and the wig is especially prone to tangling in the strong wind, so I used styling spray for several layers of reinforcement in advance, and the hair ends were also re-trimmed and smoothed to ensure that it could maintain a basic sense of layering even in the wind. The clothing is a white and gold color scheme, paired with gold metal accessories and white straps, giving it an overall exotic flair. The wrapping of the straps on the feet requires some patience; wearing them and stepping on the rough reefs is actually quite harsh on the feet, and I had to be careful not to step into empty space at all times, but for the sake of a good final result, these details could not be sloppy. That small glowing blue prop in my hand was very eye-catching in the dim evening light, adding a bit of a fantastical color to the frame.
It was precisely sunset when shooting, and the light changed extremely fast. The time left for us to candidly shoot was only about twenty minutes. Backlit shooting is a huge test of the photographer's control over light. Holding that blue-glowing ball in my hand, I tried my best to stretch my body, raised one hand, and found the right line of sight toward the lens. The sea breeze blew the blue hair very messy, but it also unexpectedly increased the flowing dynamic feel. Because it was on rocks, movements were restricted, and sometimes to find a good angle, the center of gravity had to lean backward, which tested core strength quite a bit. The white and gold clothes had a great reflection effect under the setting sun, paired with the embellishment of the straps, presenting nice leg lines in front of the lens.
Actually, posing on the reefs was much more difficult than imagined, especially wearing this outfit where the fabric clings to the body in the strong wind. I needed to constantly adjust the shoulder straps and waist accessories to ensure the tidiness of the frame. To capture that most beautiful moment of the sunset, we arrived at the venue early in the afternoon to scout locations and test the light. The light changed every minute, from golden to orange-red and finally to pinkish-purple, and I constantly communicated with the photographer to see which angle could make the backlit silhouette clearer. Sometimes a pose had to be maintained for several minutes, waiting for the wind to blow the hair into a perfect arc. This time I also tried some slightly sexier perspectives, such as sitting sideways or leaning backward, utilizing the visual effect of the straps to showcase another side of the character. Although I was exhausted after the shooting and the soles of my feet were covered in sand, seeing the raw photos truly made me feel that everything was worth it. This cosplay photoshoot was a great attempt, and I also hope that while paying attention to the character, everyone can feel the charm of natural light by the sea.
