This time, I portrayed Cartethyia from Wuthering Waves. When crafting this styling, what took the team the most effort was recreating that coexistence of thorny sharpness and divine sanctity. The black base fabric of the main costume is complemented by the flowing blue-and-white gradient outer layer. Across the chest, woven blue thorn cords traverse the entire cutout section, which, paired with the black leather and metal choker at the neck, keeps the visual silhouette uncluttered while precisely sculpting the character's Queen cosplay presence and distant, saintly coolness.
The headpiece apparatus was the soul of the entire ensemble: blue thorns encircling a floating halo topped with a unicorn horn. Achieving both structural stability and an authentic floating visual genuinely took considerable time adjusting internal armature wires. Wearing Elf cosplay ears introduced a stronger fantasy race persona, which, combined with long, straight pale-blonde hair with delicate braids at the ends and a pair of crystal-clear luminous blue contact lenses, laid a flawless foundation for bringing the character to life.
Regarding props, this silver thorn greatsword was another heavyweight element. The chilly rigidity of the blade and the thorn-wrapped hilt design required powerful, tension-filled stances during shooting. Balancing elegance while holding this sword firmly was indeed physically demanding. Throughout the shoot, faithfully conveying that aloof aura tested micro-facial expression control to the utmost—avoiding exaggerated smiles while keeping expressions vivid and natural.
The stage set was extraordinarily brilliant: expansive white staircases, clustered cool-toned blue-and-white blossoms, and an adjacent winged unicorn statue perfectly echoed the character's glacio attributes. Suspended iron chains and white candelabras provided rich layering, which, paired with the Cool-toned photography lighting scheme specifically tuned by the photographer, enveloped the entire frame in a dreamy, slightly austere mythical atmosphere.
In particular, several seated and kneeling compositions tested the styling of the skirt and cape. To accentuate elongated proportions, delicate blue strap accents were tied around the ankles, while incorporating relaxed, effortless body language neutralized the harsh rigidity of the metal props. The entire photoshoot went smoothly with seamless synergy between the photographer and me, perfectly capturing the multi-angled lighting effects and three-dimensional depth of the costume. It was a thrilling creative experience that completely conveyed the character's cool and elegant grace.
