Today's summer look for Janus cosplay took about two hours from wig styling to setting the makeup. Wanting to recreate that crisp, lively aura, I opted for ice-blue long straight hair, with the bangs specially set with hairspray to prevent them from parting down the middle during dynamic movements. The makeup focused on the eyes: pink-toned blending paired with light-colored contacts effectively delivered a bright, translucent visual effect.
For the costume, a pure white two-piece set was chosen for this Swimsuit cosplay—the top features delicate spaghetti straps with ruffled pleats that drape naturally when moving, paired below with a high-waisted pleated miniskirt in matching fabric. Echoing the summer theme, I prepared an oversized white floppy sunhat and a ribbon choker around my neck; this styling alone radiates a relaxed, vacation-ready feel fitting for a Sweet girl.
The set design for this shoot was particularly unique: the floor was laid out with a blue water-ripple platform, complemented by a wooden beach chair, lifebuoys, and background neon signs, evoking the ambiance of an indoor artificial beach. Posing barefoot on the platform under cool-toned studio lighting gave my skin a luminous, translucent glow. Since the background blues were heavily saturated, I tried to stretch out my body lines when posing—such as crossing my legs on the beach lounge chair, or lifting the brim of the hat with one hand to reveal my facial silhouette—ensuring the frame's visual center remained grounded rather than stiff.
In still photography, balancing elegance with the aura of an Energetic girl truly tests physical control. For instance, when gently tugging the skirt hem, finger pressure must be light with wrists slightly curved to let the pleated skirt lines fan out naturally. In seating poses, angling slightly sideways and resting one gently bent leg over the other not only elongates the legs, but visually slenderizes the entire silhouette. With such long wig hair, turning around or adjusting postures also required constant caution to avoid crushing the locks.
What color is the sea today? Standing within this artificially built blue haven, watching the reflections cast by the lights onto the rippled flooring, I felt today's sea was an azure blue reminiscent of fizzy lemon soda.
