This Halloween-themed feature set of Janus has finally met everyone. Actually, this shoot took quite a long time to prepare, mainly wanting to present a little angel feeling different from regular skins. The most painstaking part of the entire outfit is the layering of the skirt hem, with multiple layers of white gauze overlapping lace, requiring extra care while walking not to step on it. To keep the pure white from being too monotonous, the skirt's edge is dotted with golden embroidery patterns, and the red string lacing and red ribbon on the chest brighten the whole color scheme, combined with the red high heels on the feet, the overall color matching is the classic white, blue, and red. The staff in hand is the key prop of this shoot. It is much heavier than it looks, especially the golden crescent structure and blue rose at the top; although very exquisite, it requires wrist strength to stabilize during shooting, otherwise it easily shakes. The silver spike part at the bottom also needs to be carefully kept away from the skirt hem to avoid snagging the fabric. Since the setting is a little angel, the makeup and wig styling were kept as clean and translucent as possible. The blue of the wig needs to be adjusted to be sufficiently vibrant, and the braid and crown hair accessory on the left side were also fixed for a long time to achieve the perfect angle. During studio shooting, to showcase different atmospheres, we tried both wearing shoes and taking them off. Standing while holding the staff will appear relatively upright and combat-ready. When taking off the red high heels and sitting or kneeling on the ground just wearing white stockings, the whole person's state relaxes completely, getting closer to that undefended innocence of a little angel. During the shooting process, photographer Master Pi gave a lot of suggestions regarding light, shadow, and composition. For instance, against a solid color background, utilizing the spreading of the skirt hem to enhance the sense of extension in the frame. To ensure the naturalness of the leg lines, I tried to keep my muscles relaxed while maintaining a certain tension. Since the feather shoulder ornament of this outfit is quite rich, when shooting close-ups, I would remind the photographer to pay attention to avoiding angles under the armpits prone to shadows. At the same time, the placement of the staff is also crucial; it must not block the light on the face and needs to echo the body's curves. This time we tried different lighting methods, where soft lighting made the texture of the white stockings and red shoes stand out more. As for expression management, complex emotions are not needed; widening the eyes slightly and maintaining a somewhat clueless state is enough. Regarding Halloween elements, although this outfit doesn't look that terrifying, it is actually integrated into the scene setup and post-processing ideas. The first composite image added church arches, flying white doves and clouds, as well as the somewhat mechanical ship gun base in the background, which is to echo certain settings in the work. When shooting against a solid color background, I actually mentally immersed myself in a very sacred, quiet space. For the direction of every single feather, I tried to have my assistant smooth them out for me; a detail-freak simply doesn't allow messy areas in the frame. The red high heels actually hurt my feet a bit because the heels are relatively thin, and standing in the studio for a long time makes the ankles sore, but for the sake of the final photo effect, I had to grit my teeth and persist. Taking off the shoes to zone out during shooting breaks unexpectedly captured a few very natural expressions. The weight of the staff is truly no joke, especially when holding it single-handedly, which not only tests arm strength but also requires maintaining a breezy, effortless expression. Sometimes to find an angle where the staff can be swung without looking too clumsy, I had to try back and forth many times. This set of photos can be considered a comprehensive record of Janus's cute attributes, and I hope you will like this clean, pure texture.
