[Angelina cosplay] Arknights: Entrusting feelings to the wind

The theme of this shoot is delivering letters. In the lore, every time a letter is sent, a paper star is left behind. Having accumulated feelings for a long time, she has now decided to give them to the wind and personally run toward that important person. To match this atmosphere, we put a lot of thought into the set design. We found an indoor venue full of retro charm, featuring a wooden piano, European-style carved sofas, golden picture frames, and a large number of naturally scattered flowers. The warm yellow lighting casts down, perfectly creating a texture steeped in the passage of time.

The character I am cosplaying this time is Angelina from Arknights, and the costume details are extremely rich. The orange-brown long wig is paired with huge plush fox ears, and both the hairband and headwear feature distinct orange zigzag elements. The top is a white off-the-shoulder design, with numerous intersecting black straps fixed across the chest and shoulders. The waist is not only tied with a black belt and tool pouch, but also hangs a badge full of details. To increase the layering of the overall styling, the lower body's white skirt hem features orange stripes, paired with black translucent stockings and strappy high-heeled leather boots. Wearing black gloves on both hands, I hold a bulky sci-fi firearm prop. The entire makeup focuses on highlighting the reddish-brown around the eyes, which, combined with the wig and ears, presents a visual effect in front of the lens that carries both a combat vibe and a touch of delicacy.

The shooting equipment used is a Sony A7CR paired with an FE 35mm F1.8 lens, and the Creative Look chosen was FL. FL has a very strong color contrast preset, making it especially suitable for such images with orange, black, and white color blocking. The 35mm focal length feels effortless for indoor shooting, allowing it to convey a rich environmental background while flexibly switching between half-body and full-body shots. During the shoot, I tried different postures, such as sitting by the sofa edge with one hand supporting the headwear, or lying directly on the floor tiles to let the body lines extend naturally, or half-leaning against the sofa making a gesture. Light filtered through the foreground flowers onto the floor tiles, and paired with the straight-out-of-camera tones of FL, the raw photos already had a strong sense of story.

Pondering Angelina's state of mind in this scene was a very interesting process. She isn't the flamboyant type; rather, she is as light as the wind, wrapping her feelings in every letter and every paper star, accumulating them little by little. When she decides not to wait anymore, but to take the initiative with this accumulated weight, her gaze holds both gentleness and determination. When shooting the photo of lying on the floor tiles looking up at the lens, I deliberately relaxed my expression, imagining the moment when the letters are blown away by the wind, and I finally let down my emotional guard, ready to embrace that person. Three different postures and compositions are actually expressions of progressive emotion.

Completing this cosplay photoshoot took a lot of energy. From the preliminary costume arrangement and prop preparation to coordinating with the photographer on-site to adjust lighting and angles, every detail strived for accuracy. I am very grateful to the photographer for capturing these images with the lens, embodying the concepts of paper stars, letter paper, and the wind. As a coser, while faithfully restoring the character, this is also a genuine feeling I want to convey to those who love this character.
