For this Halloween-themed shoot, I chose an outfit full of fantasy and magic. To perfectly restore the essence of the character, a lot of thought went into not just the costume, but prop preparation was also crucial. This blue striped dress paired with a black cape; the yellow jagged edge at the neckline and orange thin ribbons added a lively festive feel. The most eye-catching part was the black wide-brimmed witch hat, on the brim of which I specially decorated a circle of colorful artificial flower garlands, adding some vitality and fairytale feel to the otherwise dull black.

Speaking of props, that staff with a red base, gold head, and a crescent moon and red sphere decoration at the top was of paramount importance. It's not just a tool for casting spells, but also an excellent visual leading line in front of the lens. During the shoot, whether holding it with one hand to strike a combat posture or gently leaning against it, it instantly maximized the character's atmospheric vibe. Additionally, the long pointed elf ear props and bright green contact lenses were also the soul of this makeup and styling. To match the character's design, a white teardrop-shaped mark was also dotted on the forehead, making the facial contours look more three-dimensional and full of a non-human feel.

The scene arrangement also greatly assisted this shoot. The studio was arranged with a stone-masonry fireplace, piles of firewood, and distressed vintage bookshelves. Realistic artificial spider webs in the corners and scattered skulls created a rich dark vintage style. Colorful Persian carpets covered the ground, which, combined with jack-o'-lanterns of various sizes and haystacks, instantly brought out the Halloween atmosphere. Warm-toned lighting simulated the firelight of the fireplace, hitting the face with a soft, fuzzy, and warm texture.

In action design, besides the classic standing with a staff, I also tried the posture of lying sideways on a vintage leather sofa. This action could make great use of body language to perfectly showcase the leg lines of the black stockings and brown short boots, elongating the overall body proportions while also adding a hint of lazy and mysterious sexy allure. Holding a vintage kerosene lamp or a pumpkin-shaped small cross-body bag in hand echoed the jack-o'-lanterns in the background, being both cute and slightly eerie.

The cooperation with my purple-haired witch partner also enriched the picture a lot. During dual interactions, like her helping me arrange the flowers on my hat or the two of us side by side raising our staffs, through eye contact and body communication, the setting of the entire magical world became fuller. With the cooperation of post-processing and pre-shooting lighting, the cool-toned rim light slightly outlined the edges of the character, giving the overall frame more layering. I hope this Halloween magic special can bring everyone a different visual experience and share this holiday joy with everyone.
