Ever since the costume design draft came out, I had been considering location options. Since this shoot was for Genshin Impact Venti cosplay, the theme \"Go to a Windy Place\" perfectly aligned with the character's Anemo attribute core. Complemented by the natural ambiance of lakes and mountains, I am personally quite satisfied with these finished Travel photography results.
In terms of hair and makeup, to accurately recreate this character, the blue wig underwent multiple trims and styling iterations to build layered dimension and two signature braids. Combined with emerald-green contact lenses, I hoped to bring out the character's gentle yet free-spirited, lively feel. The golden star ring and green disc breastplate on the chest serve as the soul of the outfit, taking considerable effort to polish to the right luster during crafting.
What challenged me most was undoubtedly the oversized pair of white feather wings on the back and the floating golden star props on both sides. Wearing them required excellent balance, especially when walking on the rugged rocks near the water's edge. To match the overall airy feel, I chose a design combining White stockings with bare feet. The element of White stockings proved particularly eye-catching near the water, demonstrating the character's unique aesthetic while visually elongating leg lines in the composition. I even repeatedly practiced standing on one leg prior to the shoot just to get that pose right in a single attempt.
On the day of the shoot, the sea breeze and reflective light from the water surface were fantastic. The photographer \"Shehou @ Paolegepao\" excelled at capturing this translucent light and shadow. Whether it was the single-leg balancing jump on the shallow beach or sitting on rocks with arms reaching toward the horizon, every moment highlighted the character's divine yet casual nature. The red apple held in hand served as a neat little prop, adding storytelling and everyday charm to the image. When ambient light was strong, green-eye makeup tended to reflect glare, but through touch-ups and angle adjustments, the photographer flawlessly captured the softness in the gaze. The tactile feeling of bare feet stepping on beach pebbles also added an authentic, grounded touch to this Travel photography journey.
The cool, midriff-exposing design of the entire costume was actually very comfortable in this outdoor environment, and the green geometric tattoo sticker on the abdomen boosted character fidelity significantly. For several photos seated on rocks by the water, I deliberately gazed toward where the water meets the sky, backed by rolling mountain ranges—a quiet state that perfectly suited the character's foundation. Compared to studio shoots, this Outdoor cosplay session brimming with natural fluidity truly offers an entirely different sense of immersion, as if one genuinely possessed the power of Anemo.
Although the preparation and shooting process was tiring, seeing the final images made every insistence on detail completely worth it.
