This time I'm cosplaying End\u014d Shimiko from Blue Archive. As an executive of the Magical Girl faction, the most eye-catching parts of her look are that long braided hair and the half-rim glasses. The wig was specially given a gradient treatment, making the transition between the light yellow hair ends and the orange top look natural; when braiding the hair, I carefully preserved a fluffy feel rather than having it stick flat to the scalp. The costume selected is this modified nautical-style uniform, where the white patchwork on the collar and cuffs combined with the turquoise streamer echoes the colors very comfortably. For the prop whip, I sourced leather materials, making the metal parts of the handle and the wrapping style stay as close to the official illustration as possible; it holds just the right amount of weight in hand without being too flimsy. The combination of black stockings and gloves adds a touch of cold sharpness to the overall temperament, yet the gaze behind the lenses still needs to maintain that slightly tsundere 'evil' vibe. A dark curtain background was used during the shoot, relying on a single-sided top light to carve out facial contours, letting the reflections on the edges of the glasses become the visual focus. For the posture, I chose a squatting side-profile, which not only displays the length of the braid but also pulls the whip's arc composition to the max. Although the Magical Girl setting often carries a touch of chunibyo vibe, Shimiko's slightly scheming upperclassman feel actually tests demeanor control even more. In terms of makeup, the eyebrow shape was deliberately narrowed, the eyeliner was upturned slightly, and a matte rose-red lip color was used to avoid over-vibrancy stealing the costume's color saturation. Overall, this cosplay setup required a lot of thought from wig trimming to prop making, hoping to convey that contrast feel of the character being 'seemingly gentle yet actually dangerous'.
