This time, the shoot is themed around Rem's evening primrose concept. I chose a blue-and-white angel-style dress for the costume, paired with her iconic short blue hair and white feathered wings. The overall look leans towards being dreamy and lightweight, completely different from the vibe of her usual battle gear. The shooting location was chosen by an open waterfront, and it happened to be the blooming season for the evening primrose. White and pink flowers blanketed the grass along the shore. The ambient light was exceptionally soft without any direct harsh glare, making it perfect for this clear and translucent hair and makeup look during our waterside photography session.

In this set of photos, I used a magic wand and a white bouquet as props. The stars on the magic wand and the blue-and-white tones of the bouquet coordinated beautifully with the layered lace of the skirt hem. During the shoot, the photographer utilized the water's reflection and the distant architectural silhouettes as the background, creating a quiet and fairy-tale-like atmosphere. The wings appeared lightweight under the side-backlighting, and the tulle headpiece and rhinestone necklace around the neck added a layer of exquisiteness to the details.

Because the costume has many layers of lace and ruffles, I had to constantly pay attention to the display angles of the skirt hem and wings while walking around to avoid looking bulky. I deliberately adjusted my postures, such as slightly turning my body when holding the bouquet or pointing the magic wand into the distance, allowing the body lines and wings to form a visually striking composition. The wind by the water was a bit strong, making it easy for the wig and veil to blow out of place, so I had to frequently touch up my makeup and tidy up during breaks in the shoot.

The color grading of this set of images leans toward cool white and pale blue. There wasn't any over-processing or heavy editing in post; we tried our best to preserve the authentic pinkish-white of the evening primrose and the original cyan-gray of the lake water, making the overall look appear more natural and clean. As a piece of cosplay, capturing the character's spirit is essential. Although Rem is originally a maid, after incorporating these angel elements this time, I attempted to express her gentle side through softer gazes and subtle body language, hoping to restore that pure yet slightly stubborn feeling. I'm preparing to try out Rem styling in different scenes next time.
