The schedule for this Zhongshan AS Comic Convention was packed tight, and I began preparations two full weeks in advance for this Tsukiyuki Miyako Swimsuit look. Starting with wig trimming: this long white straight hair required airy volume rather than lying flat against the scalp, so I used plenty of styling products to sustain the curve of the twintails and evened out the blunt bangs multiple times to ensure sharp facial contours on camera. Paired with character-accurate blue contact lenses, eye makeup focused on defining orbital contours while pinkish blush added healthy color.

For the blue halo prop overhead, I wanted it to appear suspended in person at the convention without relying on post-production. After testing several rigging methods, I anchored it to a headband using acrylic supports and clear fishing line; although navigating the crowd required extreme caution, the in-person visual effect was thoroughly satisfying. The inner side of the white cat ears featured a soft pink gradient to harmonize with the overall color scheme. Costume-wise, the ruffles on the dark off-the-shoulder top needed sufficient structure to look crisp, so I ironed thin interfacing into the lining to keep the white lace neckline flared open naturally. The black bow at the chest took multiple tweaks to find the ideal angle, and tying the red cord around the ankle added a delicate accent.

Once on the convention floor, the venue's air conditioning was blasting, yet slipping into this outfit instantly revived the summer vibe. The blue-and-white striped inflatable mat served as a fantastic prop—not only fitting the summer motif, but also encouraging a relaxed, natural seated posture. However, inflatable props carry a small drawback: slipping off easily. To stay balanced, I constantly adjusted my center of gravity, extending and crossing my legs forward while raising my arms naturally in a relaxed posture. Though it looks casual, maintaining composure required sustained core engagement.

Convention lighting is intricate; while overhead industrial lights blurred into soft bokeh circles in the final frames, they easily cast harsh shadows across the face in reality. I kept my face turned toward key light sources and had the photographer shoot from slightly elevated angles to avoid unflattering jawline shadows from overhead fixtures. With dense crowds and cluttered backgrounds on set, we relied on a telephoto lens shot wide open to melt the backdrop away, locking visual focus squarely on me while the grey floor and white plush rug created pleasing value contrast.

Resting barefoot on the white rug during breaks, the venue floor felt genuinely chilly; going barefoot without shoes or socks truly tests one's environmental adaptability. The overall shoot proceeded smoothly, staying as faithful as possible to the canon design from the wig and halo to the ruffled edges. Exchanging photography tips with fellow fans at the convention to discuss prop textures and makeup techniques made the offline community atmosphere deeply fulfilling.

Bringing this set together would not have been possible without the photographer's light handling and synergy on set. Compositionally, the blue-and-white inflatable lounger formed sharp color contrast against the dark garments, enriching visual depth. Although walking through the convention in this outfit required constant attention to the wig and props, seeing the final photos made the investment of energy well worth it.
