When I first received this shooting project, I was especially looking forward to Yu Linglong's Ink Voyage look. This time, I wanted to capture a sense of Chinese mystery mixed with a touch of agile playfulness. A lot of thought went into the set design; red threads and yellow talismans were everywhere, and along with the spider webs intentionally stretched across the background, the atmosphere was instantly brought to its peak.

To match Yu Linglong's temperament, I prepared a silver-white wig paired with light-colored contact lenses, and intentionally emphasized cool-toned eye makeup. I sat on a Chinese-style wooden daybed covered with white fur, with a small side table next to me holding a tea set and red berries, hoping to recreate that lazy yet mysterious character texture for this game character recreation. This Ink Voyage outfit has an immense amount of detail; the blue-green velvet fabric features delicate golden hidden patterns, adorned with pearls and red plush pom-poms, giving the overall texture a very rich and heavy feel.

In fact, this type of character demands a high level of posing. To capture an agile feel, I tried various postures—whether sitting upright holding a golden pipe, extending my legs, or even lying on my side—constantly paying attention to the coordination of the skirt hem, the edges of the stockings, and the red strings. The stitching of the blue-green velvet and sheer fabric, paired with the intricate golden cloud pattern embroidery, made it a bit harder to put on and take off than imagined, but fortunately, the final effect after getting fully dressed was stunning. The entire makeup and styling took nearly three hours to complete, but the moment I saw the red threads and talismans on set, I felt as if the character's soul instantly possessed me during this traditional style cosplay session.

During the shoot, the photographer specially emphasized the delivery of expression through the eyes—not just looking at the lens, but capturing that signature laziness and confidence unique to Yu Linglong. Therefore, I sometimes used the small golden pipe as a prop to add playfulness, and sometimes used the pull of the red lines to add dynamic movement. Sitting on the fur mat with my knees slightly bent, the black lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings provided an excellent flattering effect and balanced the overall colors beautifully. Stepping on the wooden daybed, the red string bells around the ankles gave the entire look a sense of movement within stillness.

The garlic-stuffing memes everyone joked about in the comment section really made me laugh out loud during shooting breaks. Honestly, in a set with such a strong sense of ritual, even without garlic, just these talismans and red lines alone pushed the Chinese fantasy atmosphere to its absolute limit. During post-production color grading, we preserved the cool-toned dark blue ambient light to make the character styling stand out even more. Being able to complete a high-quality cosplay shoot in such a scene is truly a treat for me as a cosplayer. Whether it's the texture of the costume or the precision of the props, it made all of our team's hard work entirely worth it.
