[Yin Ziping cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Tianlu Ruiguang, Healers Can Fight Too

I've been organizing this set of on-site convention photos over the past few days, featuring the Tianlu Ruiguang cosplay look for Yin Ziping from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. Although the venue was very lively, we managed to find a corner with suitable lighting during a gap when the crowd dispersed to freeze this set of frames.

I am highly satisfied with the color scheme of this outfit; large areas of ice blue alternated with white fluff, plus a few touches of metallic colors as accents, making it look visually very refreshing. To make it easier to wear and secure, I reinforced the bio-inspired animal ears on top of my head and the bow tie accessories on the side with hot melt glue and iron wire beforehand, which was the only reason I dared to walk around in the crowded venue. The pinkish-purple long straight hair is very smooth, and along with the fine bangs dropping over my forehead and the golden pendant, paired with exquisite eye makeup, the overall anime atmosphere was completely maximized.

Besides the huge blue bow tie on the upper body, the shoulder design is also a highlight. It adopts an off-the-shoulder cut, paired with wrist guards that have a metallic texture trimmed with white fluff, carrying both an ethereal aura and a hint of crisp sleekness. The design of the lower body is even more eye-catching; the short skirt's hem has a strong sense of layering, and the white feathers surrounding the perimeter have a great luster under the light. Additionally, the white streamlined markings on my legs wind and extend from the root of the thighs toward the calves, outlining highly agile curves on the fair skin. The sitting pose in the third photo was specially struck to highlight this part of the decoration—I rested both legs on the adjacent metal step stool so that the entire lines could stretch out fully in front of the lens, paired with those nude pink stiletto high heels on my feet and the pompoms at the ankles, making the overall effect very layered.

In terms of cosplay photography, since we were shooting inside the exhibition hall of the convention center, the ceiling was that kind of industrial-style exposed steel frame with rows of circular lighting lamps hanging above. To keep the character bright in such a complex environment, the photographer used a high-power flash combined with a softbox throughout to fill light for the face and skin tone, so the final photos look translucent in skin tone, and the background was beautifully darkened, highlighting the main subject.

Speaking of which, that semi-transparent blue-and-white gradient ribbon was truly a piece of heavy physical labor. To capture the wrapping effect seen in the fourth photo, I needed to hold the end of the ribbon with one hand and swing it forcefully toward the upper diagonal, while coordinating with chest-forward and slightly head-up movements. We repeated this about twenty-odd times, and every single time we shot, the ribbon had to be rearranged. By the time the photos were finished, my arm was so sore I could barely lift it.

For the character of Yin Ziping, I have actually always admired that trait of hers that seems contradictory yet beautifully integrated. As a healer, she is usually gentle and patient in saving lives and healing the wounded; but once encountering danger, she can also take up weapons to fight without hesitation. This character undertone of "a healer protecting the weak, yet capable of crushing the strong" kept me striving during the shoot to find a gaze and posture that were both gentle and full of strength.

Ending nearly three hours of shooting, although my entire body was exhausted with an aching back, and my ankles were slightly swollen from standing too long in high heels, looking at the previews in the camera on the way home made me feel deep down that all this hard work was worth it. Being able to recreate the character I love in reality through cosplay is highly fulfilling in itself.
