[Yu Linglong Cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Nine-Tailed Fox Manifests, Live Captured Convention Photos Inside the BilibiliWorld Hall

This set of photos from BilibiliWorld was shot inside an open exhibition hall. Accompanied by the overhead string light setups, it produced a batch of finished photos with a slightly cool and ethereal, psychedelic feel. The character I cosplayed this time is Yu Linglong from NARAKA: BLADEPOINT. This entire setup—from the wig to the nails—took an immense amount of thought and effort to prepare and adjust.

The wig was specially chosen with a gradient from silver-white to light purple, and I sprayed transparent gloss liquid onto the ends and bangs. When the venue's lighting hits it, it reveals starry specks of glittering light, completely echoing the fine purple shimmer eyeshadow layered on my eyes. The colored contact lenses are also a matching light purple tone, so under close-up shots, the gaze carries more of that ethereal yet sharp feel.

Aside from the eyeshadow, the makeup focused heavily on the eyelashes and eyeliner. The downward-sweeping eyeliner paired with lash clusters that are short in the front and long in the back slightly altered my eye shape, making the overall facial features look more like an elf with beast-like characteristics.

Next, I want to highly praise this set of long fake nails. They are crafted with a hollowed-out gold-plated texture, feeling very substantial and heavy. Wearing these ten long nails on my hands meant that the amplitude of my movements had to be highly restrained. Whether raising my arms or caressing my cheeks, the amount of force applied had to be precise, otherwise they could easily snag the clothes or wig. However, I personally love this design; it infuses the character's overall charm with a powerful aura of danger, making it highly distinctive.

In terms of the outfit, it features a halter-neck light tulle design. This kind of off-the-shoulder garment places high demands on the shoulder and neck lines, so before the shoot, I intentionally controlled my diet to make my body lines tighter. The upper body's white gauze is light and flowy, paired with light purple ribbons, alongside white fluff balls and gold rings adorning the wrists, creating rich layering. Especially in the low-angle composition of Figure 3, with the arms raised, the contours of the shoulders and the collarbone cavities are presented very clearly. I love the tilted angle captured by the photographer; it simultaneously showcases the garment's ethereal Xianxia style cosplay qualities and carries a hint of intimidation brought by the low-angle upward perspective.

In a densely packed convention like BilibiliWorld, to capture clean images, we spent the entire time wrestling with the light spots in the background. The photographer used a large-aperture lens to bokeh out the pedestrians, booths, and lighting fixtures in the background, completely concentrating the visual focus of this cosplay look on the fine details of my face and hands. Although there were many onlookers surrounding us during the shoot, the final outcome of these convention photos is still incredibly dreamy.

Because the nails were relatively long, even drinking water during break times took a massive effort, and putting on or taking off clothes was also inconvenient. However, to restore that spiritual image in my mind, all this hardship vanished the instant I received the previews back. To match the small pearls and chain accessories on the clothing, I kept my overall wear lightweight, allowing my body to rotate flexibly during the filming process.

For a character to be perfectly presented, the makeup/hair, props, and the photographer's angles are all indispensable. This iteration of Yu Linglong—from the initial comprehension of the original character to finally donning this outfit, standing under the exhibition hall's lights, and capturing these moments—was a highly exhilarating process from start to finish.
