[Lan Meng cosplay] Lan Meng in NARAKA: BLADEPOINT—Let's See If You Caught This Silk Ball

At the studio shoot inside the Anime convention venue with interwoven lights, this moment of Lan Meng is frozen in a posture of resting the chin on the hand and looking back.

To stay as close to the character's temperament as possible, I paid special attention to restoring the layers of the costume today. The upper garment in the classic mint cyan-blue color palette, paired with light mesh material, combined with the dark purple and gold-trimmed bracers, gives the entire outfit a sharp contrast. The hair bun is also embellished with blue-and-white jade hair accessories, and the translucent base makeup along with light blue-purple eyeshadow perfectly captures that combination of crispness and gentleness belonging to Lan Meng in her gaze.

Although this location shoot was just at a temporary booth inside the venue, we intentionally draped a semi-transparent material printed with ink calligraphy over the backdrop fabric, and placed red spider lilies alongside that iconic longsword next to it, trying our best to create a shooting environment filled with a Chinese-style cosplay and martial arts atmosphere. Since there was a lot of foot traffic at the venue, passersby would glance over from time to time, but I still maintained the character's state in front of the lens. With the combination of red ribbons and white leg rings, I showcased Lan Meng's lazy yet confident sense of being a Wuxia girl wanderer.

From doing hair and makeup in the morning to adjusting the costume, it took a lot of energy, but the moment I put on these clothes and stood in the studio, it felt completely worth it. Especially by choosing this sitting posture, it not only allows the skirt hem and light fabrics to drape naturally to create layers, but also showcases the full view of the details in the makeup and hairstyle to everyone. The thrown silk ball, paired with classic props, is actually recreating some of the character's own playful attributes. For the studio shoot on the day of the convention, capturing such a clear set of photos with soft light and shadow relied heavily on the cooperation of the photographer on site.

Whether for familiar players or tourists passing by accidentally, the visual impression delivered by this outfit is relatively complete. No need for too many ornate words to decorate it; I am simply sitting here with the posture the character should have, enjoying a sense of immersion brought to me by the Anime convention venue.
