Put on this Asagi Mutsuki collaboration outfit and started shooting directly at the Firefly ACG Expo today. Since I'm cosplaying the Blue Archive and Mahjong Soul collaboration look, the design retains the iconic elements while adding a touch of casual vibe suitable for anime conventions.
In terms of styling, to recreate Asagi Mutsuki's vibe, the silver-white hair was specially smoothed out this time, and the wig's thickness was controlled within a naturally fluffy range. For makeup, I chose warm-toned pink eyeshadow to match the jacket's color, and used a milk-tea shaded matte lipstick for the lips so it wouldn't overpower the rest. The fake eyelashes are naturally curled, with the eye makeup focusing on enhancing the contours. The base makeup was kept light and thin, revealing the skin's true radiance under the outdoor natural light without looking heavy or mask-like.
For the clothing section, this magenta jacket has a structured silhouette, featuring a sailor collar design with white piping along the edges. The white camisole vest underneath has ruffle and frill pleats on the chest, preventing it from looking too plain. The denim shorts on the lower body are light blue with distressed hems; to match the style of the upper body, the shorts have a slight A-line silhouette to look more lively. The white silk socks were chosen in a moderate thickness with a grid texture. Paired with Martin boots, it elongates the leg lines while not affecting the comfort of walking around the convention. The jacket cuffs have a cinched design, making it convenient to hold the balloon props, adding a very lively and dynamic touch to the overall combination.
For props, this time I prepared heart-shaped, star-shaped, and regular balloons. The colors chosen were bright pink, lake blue, and yellow, which combined perfectly to create striking color blocks with the red, white, and blue outfit. The glowing pink halo accessory on top of my head had a specially customized bracket, making it very securely fixed so it won't displace easily while walking. The red bow is also clipped to the side of the beret, showing off the character's traits at a glance. For the sake of the shooting effect, I also specifically wrapped the balloon strings around my fingers twice to prevent them from blowing away when it's windy outdoors.
The shooting took place in the outdoor sofa area, where there was ample sunlight, and the greenery backdrop formed a harmonious warm-and-cool contrast with the furniture sofa. The photographer handled the photos with a bright and translucent tone, without excessive post-processing, preserving the skin's true texture. In terms of posing, I mainly utilized sitting positions and interacted with the balloons to ensure the final output looked natural and not too stiff. Because this combination itself is not heavy, the shooting process was very relaxed. During the shoot, I intentionally extended my legs forward; the combination of white fishnet socks and platform Martin boots is highly eye-catching in the frame and also elongates the body proportions.
I often encounter fellow fans at the convention venue, and everyone has a high level of discussion regarding collaboration outfits. This set of cosplay is not only convenient for walking around, but with the colorful props, the colors presented in the frame are extremely rich. Whether it's a close-up or a half-body shot, it can present the relaxed atmosphere of the character. This set of photos has a very comfortable overall color temperature under natural light, and I hope to record a special day with the blessing of the collaboration atmosphere.
