This set of Azur Lane Ayanami's New Year's Wish convention photos was shot at this Firefly ACG Expo. Actually, walking around in this costume plus shooting at the convention carries a certain level of challenge, especially the headpiece part, which requires constant attention to prevent it from tilting due to movement.

The wig is a light white leaning toward silver-pink. In the early stage, I did simple trimming and bangs styling, while braiding small plaits on both sides to restore the hair's texture. The combination of headpiece components is quite complex; the long white horns and orange horn decorations need to be fixed with hairpins and glue, and the black part features dangling bead strings, providing a natural swaying motion when walking, which counts as a small highlight.

In terms of the costume, the cloak with black branches and red plum blossoms on a white base is very wide. The white tube top on the upper body, paired with multi-colored streamers and tassel knots on the chest, beautifully highlights the festive joy of the character's setting. The black short skirt at the hem and the outer layer of black hanging cloth form a color transition. White over-the-knee socks paired with red-strapped geta make the overall style more unified. The red tanghulu prop prepared in hand serves as a handheld object, making the person look more natural when posing, avoiding the awkward situation of not knowing where to put both hands. In addition, the plush trim at the cloak's neckline presents an excellent three-dimensional look under indoor temperatures without appearing thin.

This shoot took place entirely inside the convention venue, with the bright glass curtain walls and escalators of the convention center as the background. This cool-toned lighting of the modern interior and the white-grey floor are very friendly to the coser's skin tone and the texture of the white costume. As the on-site photographer—which is myself—I carefully considered the lighting and composition. The images utilize compositions from different angles to showcase costume details and character temperament, and I avoided the crowded streams of people on-site, choosing elevated spots and aisles with a sense of depth as much as possible, blurring the venue background in the frame to an extent that it doesn't interfere with the subject.

For the overall makeup this time, I chose eyeshadow and lip colors leaning toward orange-red, which, paired with the silver-white hair and fair skin tone, stays as close as possible to the character's winter New Year visual atmosphere. Through these few photos, it basically restores the character's calm and slightly lazy state. As Convention photos, being able to catch the character's temperament while capturing the costume's cut and color coordination clearly is already highly ideal, and I hope it can bring a bit of reference to fellow character fans for this piece of Ayanami cosplay and Cosplay photography.
